I got lucky and took this shot at my kitchen window this afternoon. He flew up and then flew into the tree. I backed off with my camera and he flew onto the bird feeder I have in the window and I clicked this shot. WooooHooo. / This art work is registered copyright©2008 and any copyright infringement will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law in the USA and International.

The Grand Old Birdman / stares out over the timeless desert / ‘till we, thru our collective sins, greed, and stupidity are no more. The Birdman gives the cloak of time to the waking desert / ‘till the New Ones come They will learn to dance and pay homage / and the Birdman will waken.

Did you know that birds descended from dinosaurs? True story. But, if you think aobut it, we’re actually bigger than dinosaurs now, and we weren’t even alive when they were first around. I call that impressive… Part of a small smoke art series I’m working on. .

Deep dark colors enrich this freaky image inspired by the artwork in the Griffin and Sabine books. Each digital painting is derived from a photograph that I have taken myself. The photographs are my palette to create each computer generated painting. I like the viewer to take from each painting what they want..what they see..how it makes them feel. So I prefer to not disclose exact descriptions of each piece. Of course some are more simple and the title tells all. But do not let the title of my works distract you, as in many of my paintings, you may find more than what the title states.

This is the actual cell with the Paper mache head that was left behind to fool the guards. If you look to the back of this photo you can see the space that was dug out and used to escape. / The prisoners chiseled away the moisture-damaged concrete from around an air vent leading to a corridor, using tools such as a metal spoon soldered with silver from a dime and an electric drill improvised from a stolen vacuum cleaner motor. The noise was disguised by accordions played during music hour, and their progress was concealed by false walls which, in the dark recesses of the cells, fooled the guards. /
