  Hi Everyone, I have just come back from a fascinating exhibition of an Australian Artist by the name of Jane Gillings. Jane is a keen bird watcher and collector of anything discarded made from plastic. From this medium Jane sculptures birds. Having seen her fantastic bird sculptures up close I can only say they are fabulous, wonderful, full of character and almost like looking at a real bird that has been embalmed. Please check her out on YouTube here as Jane explains her process of creating her plastic sculptured birds. This is an artist who has amazing patience (a good virtue), determination and endurance of her chosen art and it definitely shows in her work. For Sydney artists that would like to see Jane’s exhibition of her sculptured birds it is on at the NG Gallery, 3 Little Queen Street, Chippendale near Broadway, Sydney from 18th to 6th December and is well worth a visit to see the wonderful collection of birds that Jane has sculptured from her collection of discarded plastics.   The day after I returned from my holidays last week, I received a delightful email from Zazzle that my “Celebration Of Life” keds had been sold! This was and still is exciting because I finally sold my first pair :D Just when I thought nobody loves my keds, a fellow bubbler,Cazzie came along and bought a pair (Thanks Cazzie!! This is a great encouragement to me!). I dont have any recent sales from RB but I am thankful that during the last one week, I had 8 sales which is a record for me…..and I am counting my blessings,no matter how small these sales are….because each sale came by not easy and I’m sure we can all identify with this sentiment :D I can now say a big thanks to the “drought” I experienced in zazzle during the first 2 months which has taught me to appreciate every sale made, in zazzle and also in RB :D And I also just found out from Fa that I have been featured as a fresh gallery over at Zazzle too, Thanks Fa for the info!!
