Just another shot of this colorful Robin on a cold winters day
My dear Bubbler friend, Lora Mae, was inspired to write this sweet soulful prayer of praise after viewing my photo, Robin on a Precipice She said it looked as though the robin was greeting the Lord and she composed his prayer for me to include with a photo. I chose this robin, standing on one leg, his way of “kneeling” for matins (morning prayer). Thank you, Lora Mae, for your kind gift to me which is straight from the heart. Please view LoraMae’s Bubble space filled with beautiful expressions from a beautiful soul. LoraMae
I went and sat on the rooftop hoping to see another great angle of the moon during the day. The cirrus clouds prevented that, so I focused on the stirring wildlife. This robin was perched perfectly for a profile shot. LavenderMoon~
I finally managed to get this shot of one of our garden European Robins as he stopped by one of our feeders. Robins are so fast to and from the feeder that I’d all but given up! ;o) I think he’s saying “oh no, the old bat got me this time!” Still it is the least he can do for feeding him and his pals all year round. British Robins especially look awful cute, are very good at supervising the gardener, but can be territorial and stroppy little featherballs!
A robin under an old chair used as a flower pot.
Three robin eggs that are close to hatching.

6 “x 8.5” impressionistic acrylic painting on canvas paper of a snowy winter wonderland. “As the snow floats down / The lights come on in the town. / A Robin perches high / and sings to the pale blue sky. / Glistening white snow tops cover the land / “My what a view ain’t it grand”! Linda
Another shot of my little Robin friend that I took on my walk in the Yorkshire dales. / This little fella was sat on the same bench as where I was sat. / Shot with a Nikon D70s and 70-300mm Sigma lens.. /
Used the Redfield Fractalis filter here. This little guy was just enjoying taking a bath.
I took this one in the Spring of 2008. The bathing robin was real quick to tell the male cowbird to back off! lol Nikon D40 / 55-200mm lens
After Ms. Robin ran Mr. Cowbird off from her bath she allowed Mr. Finch to stop by for a shower while she bathed. :o) / Nikon D40 / 55-200mm Nikkor Lens
This cocky Robin was not letting the Sparrows onto the Bird feeder. Taken this lunchtime…cropped image.
I thought of the line from Snow White, “Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of us all?” when I saw this image of two robins drinking in the bird bath on my patio. American robins do not reside in my part of the country (southern Louisiana) but stop by during their winter migration. They are here now in large numbers. This is the first year they have ever come this close to the house to drink, normally preferring a larger fountain further from the patio. A flock of cedar waxwings is traveling with them.

I was reminded of the nursery rhyme when I saw this American robin on my birdbath: Little Robin Redbreast / Sat upon a rail; / Niddle-naddle went his head; / Wiggle-waggle went his tail!
