My backyard pond, frozen solid. This pond is home to nutria, beavers, ducks, herons, and other water loving birds.

I was not going to leave the zoo without this image. The beautiful bird, I first saw the outlines of through the man planted flora, gracefully glided across the artificial pond. Its motion cut a gentle trail in the small, evening breeze caused ripples. I set an ambush at the narrow part of the pond and waited patiently. No good. The introverted animal was too edgy when passing by, and emerged in and out of the dark shadows at unpredictable intervals. This was going to be a long haul. Luckily, with the ambient light we both needed running out quickly, my desire to capture the elegant curves of this creature and its routine craving to nibble a bit before the day expired reached an uneasy, but welcomed equilibrium. I held my breath and pushed the button with my cold stiffened finger. Timeless beauty. This is not a great story, just a blurb, with a moral that outweighs its size. The ever relevant message to those who take away your freedom is to realize they will never be able to deprive you of your Dignity, your Grace.

We took a drive to the other side of the park to see the ducks and geese….poor little guys, they stay here all winter because people feed them all during the warmer months even though there are signs all over saying not to….I wonder if those same people venture out of their warm homes to feed them, when their ponds are frozen and they are hungry. / . / . I had to nab a shot of these shadows at sunset and you can see some of the little guys in the background. / .. / . / . / . / . / . / . / . / . . . / . / . / . / Landscape photography….cheap kodak digital camera…set to landscape and added a small touch of shadow…he he he. Wish I had the fancy stuff but not too bad anyway huh ? (crosses fingers). Maybe after Christmas I’ll get my hands on one and begin to learn what all the talk is.

The way the light was shining on this bird, it gave the impression that the feathers were silver. The Anhinga has to dry its’ feathers in the air as it does not have oil glands for water proofing.

It’s been so long since I posted on the Bubble, I could be in a meeting introducing myself: “Hi, I’m Andy Mueller and I have not been on the Bubble in 6 days”. The other folks in the room clap their hands in amazement ….6 days? Wow …... So, let me dive right back in with yet another Duck image, dedicated to Mr. Bermingham! Yes indeed, I’m back my friend …... Some may think that these are Geese, but I truly believe them to be Farm Ducks or Pekin Ducks. HDR Images / Prague Images / Aviation Related Images

digital art, just one of my fantasy dreamy place to be, while I was working on that image my mind and my heart was far from this bloody planet and at least I had a break from suffering. I lived in peace until the artwork done.
