On Canada Day I was waiting for the fireworks. These young fellows took to the sea. I tried a timed exposure and I think it came out nicely. You can actually see motion. That is a swan in the background.
A swan, next to a warf, at dusk, with and empy stone bench waiting for a young man to pop “the question” to a young woman. Maybe, maybe not.

Two lesser yellowlegs (Tringa flavipes) trying to make a beachhead are vociferously told to find another location by a number of greater yellowlegs (Tringa melanoleuca). This little fella I saw huddled up on the branch obviously cold and who wouldn’t be at temperatures below -20 Celsius? / He was all fluffed out like a tiny ball and looked just perfect with the snowy Canadian mountains as his backdrop.
