The town of Arles in Provence, France. Looking down on the rooftops from the top of the ancient Arena in the town. A lovely and fascinating area full of so much history.

This was taken, from a lookout, of people (the size of ants) walking on Fox Glacier, in New Zealand. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera. Fox Glacier is part of the Westland Tai Poutini National Park (established 1960) which extends from the highest peaks of Kā Tiritiri o te Moana/Southern Alps to the remote beaches of the wild West Coast. It is an area of magnificent primeval vistas; snow-capped mountains, glaciers, forests, tussock grasslands, coast, lakes, rivers and wetlands. This world-class scenic landscape has been recognised as such with World Heritage status.
This picture was taken in August 2008. It was taken in Mississauga Ontario near Lake Ontario. We were hiking through the park when we noticed the ducks and sunset. It was beautiful to see how the lake captured the lighting and reflected it so well.

We believe this poor little girl was hit by a car this morning. She appeared to be stunned and was sitting in the middle of the road surrounded by several crows. A friend of ours placed her in a nearby tree so she wouldn’t get hit. Later she was taken to the Red Creek Wildlife Center where they will take care of her and she will be released. / Camera Stats: Canon Rebel Xti, Fstop 5.0, Exposure 1/400 sec, 160 mm, shutter speed 8.6 EASTERN SCREECH OWL – FRONT VIEW / EASTERN SCREECH OWL – SIDE VIEW /
This image of a beautiful mature bald eagle is part of my series on the wetlands of the Fraser River Estuary of south west British Columbia. The bird pictured here was one of many eagles perched in trees around grassy fields beside the river. The fields were highly populated by many species of ducks feeding on the grasses and other plants and roots. The eagles, of course, were feeding on the ducks. I was complaning to the girls at Lovers Key Beach, that every time you tried to take a shot of this bird it turned around….....very frustrating. Anyway, I decided to post this one as I actually like the way it turned out. Taken at Bonita Beach, Fl. / Camera: Nikon Coolpix P80

It was taken from the airplane window coming back from Europe. I think it was around Iceland area.
A beautiful sunset in King Lake, Victoria about eight months after the shocking fires devastated the region. I found the light piercing through the trees very eerie but was comforted by the signs of new flora and fauna. Captured with a Nikon D70
