Looking over the edge of ‘The Spirit of Tasmania’
It’s extremely satisfying when as a photographer you capture an image like this. It’s that microsecond of crystallisation of all factors that make a great image (even if I say so myself). / This is a female Galah ( a native Australian Parrot) that is both numerous and widespread in this country. Large flocks of them frequent grain and cropland areas and they are even more common in some suburban areas with parks and gardens than they used to be.
Acrylic on canvas. 2006. 24” x 36”. / Did not worry about vanishing points..
Found this lurking in a hard drive. Taken from the Eureka tower last year just before they banned cameras in ‘The Edge’ – a glass ‘box’ that extends out from the top floor and hangs over the city 92 floors below. This image was taken through the floor of ‘The Edge’. I adjusted the levels aggressively and burned the reflections of the people to make them stand out more. /

The defensive Tower house of Smailholm, just over the Scottish border, near Kelso. The tower was built in the mid 1400’s at a time when lawlessness and violent bands of reivers, ravaged the lands both sides of the English-Scottish border. And a solitary white swan, resides below the Tower Even today, the landscape is lonely, and you can easily imagine the starkness of those dark days. Dreary dull, grey, original digital photograph. / Lots of photoshop layers and borrowed sunset from my bonny Northumberland, Budle Bay photo. Inversion and refining with digital painting….. it would have been easier to conventionally paint this!!

Spotted this fence full of seagulls at Martin Mere waiting to be fed. Shortly after this shot was taken it started to snow!
This is a composition of a couple overlooking Rivington. Not sure what the plase is called, sorry. And a photograph of Seagulls that I had taken yesterday in Moses Gate. I would love to donate 100% of the sales of this work during the next 60 days to the Phoenix Appeal in support of the burning bushfires in Australia! My best regards to all who suport this wonderful effort! / And every sale, Rebubble will match it and also donate to the appeal! Canon 5D Canon Zoom lens 24-105mm
A cool shot to which made me laugh as I was taking it.
On the drive home from Barnard Castle today I stopped at the side of the road and walked down the field to photograph the old disused Langleydale railway viaduct in the snow (as you do!). As I was returning to the car – I spotted the two rickety gates silhouetted against the snow and the winter sunset. The bird is a little added extra – a photoshop brush kind courtesy of WyckedBrush of Deviant Art. /
I’m not normally a big fan of the square format but I’m experimenting in making CD-suitable covers.
This male Eastern bluebird delivers the grub to the babies in the nesting box in a far different fashion from the way the female operates. She dives into the opening, feeds the chicks, removes debris and waste, and exits in a flash. Her mate, on the other hand, lands on whatever nearby perch he can find, shows off the cricket, caterpillar, grub worm, or grasshopper he just succeeded in hunting down, looks intently in my direction, turns this way and that, and then delivers the goods to the babies. Afterwards, he often goes back to his perch, giving me a view of his beautiful self from every possible angle. Finally, he tires of all the posturing and takes off in search of yet more prey for the hungry nestlings. I think he’s got lots of personality and I love watching his antics.
Every time I visit at my mother’s house, her resident female bluebird goes directly to my car and admires herself in the rear view mirror of my car. I finally got a shot of the little queen. I applied some PS filters for this effect. I thought it might bring a smile to someone’s face. When there isn’t any vehicle parked in Mama’s driveway, the bluebird opts for the mirror on Daddy’s truck or any window pane she can find to study her beauty for hours on end.
A rather special spot to enjoy the fine cuisine and superb wines available at The Minya Winery on The Surfcoast, as the swallows and other birds flit and fly around you / / Pentax istDS Camera. Three bracketed exposures used an processed in Dynamic Photo HDR to create the image. My Bubblesite showcases images in their categories.
A view from Hyannis Harbor in Hyannis, MA. Commercial Fishing boats to private water craft are housed here! You can also catch the boat to Martha’s Vineyard or sit and relax with a book. These birds have such amazing expressions. I just want to smile when I see their funny faces. And thesight of their long, skinny legs, racing across the terrain remind me of my son trying to escape a haircut. Acrylic paint on canvas textured acrylic paper. 16 inchesX12. Every time I visit my mother, I come home with lots of beautiful flower photos, too many to choose just one, so I decided to put several together in this collage I’ve named, “Garden of Eden,” because that is exactly what Mama’s yard feels like! It’s a sight for the eyes and a soothing balm for the soul. The image of the cardinal sitting on the statue of Jesus is from my yard; there is a very old cardinal who loves to rest there. I think he’s got just the right idea. No better place to find peace!

Yes, another sunrise taken from my workplace in Port Hardy, BC on Vancouver Island. It’s the best part of my job, to enjoy this beautiful scenery every time I look out the bay & Mr. Eagle put an added beauty to the scene! In 16 years, so many different colors and so many eagles! I have seen the worst and best that this bay has to offer! Hope you like and like always, thank you for viewing my point of view!! I recently had a small accident and off for a few days, catch up time in RB world. Keep smiling… / /

Gotta Be Somebody This time, I wonder what it feels like / To find the one in this life, the one we all dream of / But dreams just aren’t enough / So I’ll be waiting for the real thing, I’ll know it by the feeling / The moment when we’re meeting, will play out like a scene / Straight off the silver screen / So I’ll be holding my own breath, right up ‘til the end / Until that moment when, I find the one that I’ll spend forever with Cause nobody wants to be the last one there / Cause everyone wants to feel like someone cares / Someone to love with my life in their hands / There’s gotta be somebody for me like that / Cause nobody wants to do it on their own / And everyone wants to know they’re not alone / There’s somebody else that feels the same somewhere / There’s gotta be somebody for me out there Tonight, out on the street, out in the moonlight / And dammit this feels too right, it’s just like deja vu / Me standing here with you / So I’ll be holding my own breath, could this be the end / Is it that moment when, I find the one that I’ll spend forever with Cause nobody wants to be the last one there / Cause everyone wants to feel like someone cares / Someone to love with my life in their hands / There’s gotta be somebody for me like that / Cause nobody wants to do it on their own / And everyone wants to know they’re not alone / There’s somebody else that feels the same somewhere / There’s gotta be somebody for me out there You can’t give up, looking for a diamond in the rough / You never know, when it shows up, make sure you’re holding on / Cause it could be the one, the one you’re waiting on / Cause nobody wants to be the last one there / And everyone wants to feel like someone cares / Someone to love with my life in their hands / There’s gotta be somebody for me, ohhh Nobody wants to do it on their own / And everyone wants to know their not alone / There’s somebody else that feels the same somewhere / There’s gotta be somebody for me out there / Nobody wants to be the last one there / Cause everyone wants to feel like someone cares / There’s somebody else that feels the same somewhere / There’s gotta be somebody for me out there Nickleback
