  • I went to the local lagoon (don’t you have one?) this morning looking for inspiration. I couldn’t believe how lucky I was. I now have a series that I am dedicating to the wildlife sanctuary known as Dangars Lagoon and to all those who maintain this wonderful oasis.

  • From my Dangars Lagoon series. ============================================================= / NEW PUBLICATION – DANGARS LAGOON ============================================================= / This image features in my new book – Dangars Lagoon Click on image for book preview and purchase options. /

  • Uploaded: 06/29/08 Media: Photograph Photo montage – The photos used here, were taken mostly in May 08. / Another chapter from My Book of Feathers / I see the Peacock as the most significant symbol, as where my REAL ART, Once started. True, that I always loved to draw as a kid, and even one of my painting back then, was sent to Jerusalem for an exhibition – ” Children of the World paint Jerusalem ” ... Yet, the inner main decision of becoming an artist was taken later in my life , around the time I was 18-20 years old. / Around that time, I made probably my first peacocks painting, that is still with me somewhere, it signifies for me, the real beginning of my painting. / Each feather of Peacock might seem similar, yet it is different. For the change, that is occurring each day, every single moment,in life, even if sometimes, we fail to notice it… Because It was always there written on a piece of feather, sealed with love. / Thanks for being with me, as part of the story of my life… / May it be long lasting, healthy, fulfilling and full with energies of LOVE. / Love YOU !! • Mallard duck The mallard is a large and heavy looking duck. It has a long body and a long and broad bill. The male has a dark green head, a yellow bill, is mainly purple-brown on the breast and grey on the body. The female is mainly brown with an orange bill. It breeds in all parts of the UK in summer and winter, wherever there are suitable wetland habitats, although it is scarcer in upland areas. Mallards in the UK may be resident breeders or migrants – many of the birds that breed in Iceland and northern Europe spend the winter here. / Where to see them It is the commonest duck and most widespread so you have a chance of seeing it just about anywhere where there is suitable wetland habitat, even in urban areas. / When to see them All year round. / What they eat Seeds, acorns and berries, plants, insects and shellfish.

  • Textured image of a house beside Guadiana’s Riverclose to the Spanish/Portugal border. Gradients are been used to get the colors of the Jamaican flag… thanks again for all your support and feedback, much apprecieted!!

  • I took this photo of a wren last year, but I didn’t do much with it because I didn’t like the background. Now that I’m experimenting with layers and textures, I thought I’d have another whack at it and came up with this image. I’ve named it Mother Wren at Work. I love the way wrens always add soft mosses and lichen to their nests and the way they build a tiny dome like structure often inside potted ferns and plants on the patio. They are master constructionists and best of all they sing joyfully and powerfully. This tiny bird’s song is truly bigger than its body! Please view larger; Mrs. Wren would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

  • This is a seagull on his post in Crescent City, CA – I re-worked the image using three different textures to it.

  • After I posted this image, several people commented on it (both on- and offline), and then a friend pointed out that it’d be better if the flattened water bottle wasn’t lying there. Not until then did I realize that I liked that trash in the shot. It’s when we find ourselves among the mundane (parking lot) and ugly (trash) situations that the beauty and calming influence of angels is most apparent (and most needed?). How often, in my depth, have I been preserved as if covered by an angel’s wings. I choose to focus on the “angel” in this image. Nikon D300 / Tamron 28-300mm / 1/1250 sec / f/11 / 46mm focal length / ISO 200 / Textures provided by Ghostbones added in PS
