This swan was comical and was usually right there waiting. As I tried to put the quarter in to get the food he became very impatient and pecked at me. He didn’t hurt me but I imagine they could if they really wanted to. Anyway, he got his treat and I had some fun and got a cute picture. What an experience.

An African Penguin (formerly known as the Jackass Penguin) going for a paddle in the refreshingly icy water at Boulders Beach, Cape Town, Western Province, South Africa. Boulders Beach forms part of the Table Mountain National Park and is an established African Penguin reserve.
My favorite animals : horse, lamb, cow, dog , llama and graceful birds like swans and seagulls.

(Fulica cristata) Red-knobbed Coot, also known as Crested Coot, is a member of the rail and crake bird family, the Rallidae. / A medium sized, matte black, duck-like bird, with an ivory-white bill and unfeathered forehead. / There are two tiny red knobs at the top of the facial shield, which are not visible at any great distance and are only present in the breeding season. / It is an aggressive species, and strongly territorial during the breeding season. Location: South Africa.
(Anas undulata) These are Mallard-sized mainly grey ducks with a darker head and bright yellow bill. The wings are whitish below, and from above show a white-bordered green speculum. Location: South Africa.
