I have also used a variety of found objects, including lace and ribbons…and an especially beautiful gold paint for the wings which were underpainted first to created texture. On of my favourite paintings, my heart and soul went into this piece…two sweet little girls in darling dresses hanging out in the garden together….what could be nicer.

This was just a lucky catch. My wife got some tulips for her birthday and I took one out as the sun was setting to try a get a nice shot. I put the vase down & as soon as I turned my back I heard the hummer behind me, I turned back around and had time to get off one shot before he realized he wasn’t interested in tulips. On the 12th day of May 2008 I witnessed (along with thousands of others) a perfect circle in the form of a rainbow around the sun at about noon-time at a beautiful place in the Philippines. Completely perplexed, stunned and amazed at this extraordinary and divine sight, I HAD to create this artwork. Im not sure where you were or what you were doing at this same moment of time but I guess this is all we have. Small pigments of time all squeezed together. And if we’re blessed enough, we get moments like these and realise even for a second the gravity of God’s love. There were no photo’s taken at the time and all I had available to me was the memory of this moment… The moment my heart burned. Print available. / Vector digital art created in illustrator.

been reading about tribal child raising and the benefits, and we know I like birds… I began this art as abstract patterns, bubbles of pattern that transformed when I realised by putting a ‘fork in the road’ to the concentric circles, that I created an eye and beak. Before that, it could’ve been shown either way up. also, it transformed from earthy brown colours, to a colourful bird. ‘Is it art? ‘my teacher used to always question. He’s not here now. He’s just asking the question still! in my head! I like it-it’s bright, colouful and alive.

An exhibition piece from a collection of works that revolved around the themes of magic, nature and storytelling. The text translates as “I am the beautiful flower, I am the sun’s tear” which is from an ancient poem “The song of Amergin”. The work is loosely based upon this poem, although influences come from a wide variety of cultures. 50.5×40.5cm
