been reading about tribal child raising and the benefits, and we know I like birds… I began this art as abstract patterns, bubbles of pattern that transformed when I realised by putting a ‘fork in the road’ to the concentric circles, that I created an eye and beak. Before that, it could’ve been shown either way up. also, it transformed from earthy brown colours, to a colourful bird. ‘Is it art? ‘my teacher used to always question. He’s not here now. He’s just asking the question still! in my head! I like it-it’s bright, colouful and alive.

This was just a lucky catch. My wife got some tulips for her birthday and I took one out as the sun was setting to try a get a nice shot. I put the vase down & as soon as I turned my back I heard the hummer behind me, I turned back around and had time to get off one shot before she realized she wasn’t interested in tulips. / Captured in Cave Creek, Arizona, with a Canon 20D. This image was taken on 1st April 2009 at Mills Beach in Mornington. / Canon 450D 18-200 lens / exp: 1/200s f5.6 / ISO 125 / I went to the beach with my family for some fish & chips and almost didn’t take my camera. My hubby talked me into it last minute. I would have been in tears!!! /

sold two copies so far,, thankyou so much * I was at the park the other day with my grandchild .. and saw this bird on the monkeybar:).. looked as if he had all the time in the world..and not a care to his name. so I painted him and hope you enjoy it. as much as I did watching him. . The sparrow is a small bird that is not considered to be of much consequence. It is too small to be much of a meal, shows how much God pays attention to. “The very hairs on your head are numbered.” and then this happened amongst two .. we didnt know each other really .. but this came of our art. as we became friends.. throught the process of creating this peice. oh , please read more when you got a changce and visit it here / Hope is a thing with Feathers / Sold*!! :).. aw thank you so much to the buyer!
