Acrylic on canvas. / A young Frida Kahlo flying free over her beloved homeland Mexico.
been reading about tribal child raising and the benefits, and we know I like birds… I began this art as abstract patterns, bubbles of pattern that transformed when I realised by putting a ‘fork in the road’ to the concentric circles, that I created an eye and beak. Before that, it could’ve been shown either way up. also, it transformed from earthy brown colours, to a colourful bird. ‘Is it art? ‘my teacher used to always question. He’s not here now. He’s just asking the question still! in my head! I like it-it’s bright, colouful and alive.

This was just a lucky catch. My wife got some tulips for her birthday and I took one out as the sun was setting to try a get a nice shot. I put the vase down & as soon as I turned my back I heard the hummer behind me, I turned back around and had time to get off one shot before she realized she wasn’t interested in tulips. / Captured in Cave Creek, Arizona, with a Canon 20D. This was inspired by Vonne of Ravensoul. The artwork that she uploaded yesterday titled The World Within and the narrative that went along with it made me really take a step back and think about what she had written. Take a look at her portfolio and be inspired as much as I was. So Vonne this is for you and anyone else who can relate to it. XX

sold two copies so far,, thankyou so much * I was at the park the other day with my grandchild .. and saw this bird on the monkeybar:).. looked as if he had all the time in the world..and not a care to his name. so I painted him and hope you enjoy it. as much as I did watching him. .
