illustration inspired by the little sparrow i saw outside my kitchen window this morning…
A boy and a bird, both singing their song to each other. I have tried this, whistling back to the birds I hear, but they never respond. =P Just a simple little thing I did, kind of a different style but I like it. Was fun to do. =D / Used sepia ink for the characters and border, then added a texture and the music notes in the background with Photoshop. Hope you like it! =3
I decided to make a shirt with just the bird from my Whistle drawing. Why? Cause I’m thinking about buying it myself, once I have lost some weight (so I can fit in the M size). =P There is a version for dark shirts (this one) and one for light shirts here . I also made an Illustrator version of the bird, but after some feedback on the forums decided not to post it. You can see them all here . / If you are interested in them though, be sure to let me know. =P For the Boy version of this shirt, go here
An illustration to accompany a story about how products such as coffee being mass produced in Latin America is killing American song birds due to the pestices they use. I just uploaded a small file, I’ll upload a larger later, or let me know sooner is you want a specific print.
A new illustration I’ve been working on, continuing to experiment with some slightly different ways of working.
Collaboration with the very talented “Cliff Vestergaard”
Nominated for Pay It Forward by the talented Martin Muir. This is what Martin had to say: / “I chose this as it reminds me of an only child in a world of his or her own, imagining a world of music and a field of dreams. This image reminds me of days when summers were summers and cares were something the future held. Chantal’s images are always colourful and imaginative, thanks Chantal for sharing your wonderful talent.” Winner in the Arthouse Productions Moody Blues competition :) ..::Stock Photo Credit::.. / Model / Background / Texture / Butterfly If you like this piece, please check out: / / /
A happy little bird whistling a colorful song. This is a digital piece I posted on my blog, and I was delighted when just after posting it, I heard from my nephew with the name of the group who sing “the littlest bird”. The be good tanyas are on you tube if you want to listen.
