Just another shot of the beautiful coastline of Fort Bragg, CA. Gulls are just so “common” but so incredibly good for a budding photographer. LOL!

A great blue heron was standing on a piling in the lake at Mount Dora , Florida, when he suddenly prepared to take off.
This great blue heron was a beach sentinel at Sanibel Island during our recent stay there. The bird was quite comfortable around humans and let me approach him very closely. I got this shot of his profile as a single droplet of water fell from his feathery finery.

Two terns chasing each other, very fast flyer’s.
Another view of the vultures we saw while on the Mark Twain Riverboat ride up the Mississippi river. I only had time to take two quick shots of them. I was excited while going through my pictures that I had actually got a picture of them. I’ve never seen a vulture except in a zoo. So it was fun to see them… though at the time I wasn’t quite sure what kind of bird they were. I found them on the internet and indeed they were vulutres. There must be things to feed on there on the shore.
In a special moment of time (quite supprisingly), I caught these seagulls flying together and each of them seems to show an individual frame of a complete sequence of movements taken by a single bird in flight. Taken with a Canon 400D using a 17-85mm IS USM lens. 1/4000sec, F/5, F/L 35mm, ISO-100.
