  • The Birds revisited
    by Alistair Wilson

    US$3.71–US$98.80

Taken at Monsalvat in Eltham, Victoria, Australia. I couldn’t resist this approach as the old house begged for treatment and a dark and moody atmosphere. Hadn’t been here since I went there for a wedding as a young child, this approach to the image is sort of what I remember the place being like! HDR from 3 exposures in Photomatix, Adobe Lightroom conversion to Antique Light and then birds added in Adobe Photoshop CS3. One day…she looked deeper…deeper yet and knew it was time to let it go. She released her past…and watched as it flew far away from her…to it’s own future…to it’s own place wild, open and free. Having let it go…she is now free, having looked through the past and on to the future. – By Carrie Glenn You can contact Carrie at: carrie@carrieglennstudios.com and please visit Carrie Glenn Studios / In my newest piece my background is painted from Michael Gatch’s photo Through The Past His photography is bold, fresh and very original. • Bond....
    by Basia McAuley

    US$3.99–US$106.40

I know that in an artistic sense this is quite simple, however to me it has great meaning. The image is of my two boys who are also the best of friends. They have an unbreakable bond and here, they are doing something they love; just being together.

  • The Birds
    by Alistair Wilson

    US$3.71–US$98.80

An edit of a photo i took at Cape Otway Lighthouse just of Victoria’s Great Ocean Road in Australia a few months ago on the 28th of February 2008. HDR’d in Photomatix from one RAW file . Found a pic of some birds i took at Elwood Beach a while ago and added them in Photoshop. Some tweaking was also done in Lightroom including the black and white conversion and above is the end result. The Lighthouse is just one of many beautiful attractions in the Great Otway National Park. CAPE Otway Lightstation is the oldest, surviving lighthouse in mainland Australia. The light, which has been in continuous operation since 1848, is perched on towering sea cliffs where Bass Strait and the Southern Ocean collide. For thousands of immigrants, after many months at sea, Cape Otway was their first sight of land after leaving Europe. For those interested this is the original image: Click here for my other images of Victoria This is what it would look like as a medium mounted print with my details:

  • My First Owl Painting
    by smile4me

    US$3.42–US$91.20

This is how my first serious painting looks like and I chose to paint an owl. That was like 6 years ago I think :D Very few had seen this. When I was painting this, I was thinking “If I were an owl, I would be able to hear the sweet whispers of lovers in the park.”...yep, in case you are wondering, those are sound waves, owls have such fantastic hearing that’s simply amazing!! I always treasure the beginner’s spirit and I kept reminding myself not to lose it….because once you become used to something, it loses that magic, It is now nicely framed and hanging in the most intimate part of my apartment. For those of you who may be curious to see how my owls look like now, you can check them out at my udonchow gallery here in RB :D / /

My good friend Sally Omar has seen my art ‘Native dreams of Old, ’ and has fely inspired to write this wonderful poem,, thank you Sally. Please check out Sally’s other work here on RedBubble she writes from the heart. x NATIVE DREAMS OF OLD. by Sally Omar Coming back / For a brief moment in time / Looking for what used to be / That he cannot find / Teepees scattered about / Are no longer there / There are strange structures / He cannot help but stare / Where are the fires / So that he can dance / And the bushes / Where he can romance / He remembers back / To red stained land / Where there was war / And there was pain / Arrows shooting in the air / White men eyes / Causing so much fear / Remembering back / He knows how he did die / A rifle blasted / Then he saw the Spirit in the Sky / Going back in time / Brought only terror / That brief moment / Was his error / What was once is now gone / NATIVE DREAMS OF OLD / A sorry story / Too infrequently told

  • Sure, the bird was interesting, but he really should have paid more attention to what was coming up behind him. Unfortunately for Willie “The Birdman” Whiters, it would be the last mistake he would ever make. I just finished this one up last night. Overall, I’m fairly pleased with it.

  • Please visit my Africa Mission Charity Website: / http://www.philadelphia33.org/ / / I was walking from one village to the next, in Remote Nigeria. one of the team noticed this young girl following us for some time. I stopped and spoke to her through an interpretor. We learned that she was 13 years old and caring for three younger Sisters. As she told us here story, I Felt compelled to return to her village. There we met her three younger sisters in the most extreme poverty. Both Parents were dead and no other living relatives. We spoke to the village Chief and the elders who pleaded with us to help the family. We did, as God lead us to and blessed here with clothing, and the following day we sent two of our field workers to meet with her and now they have a small regular income from our mission funds. Please visit my Africa Mission charity site: / http://www.philadelphia33.org/ / link to all my art. / http://www.redbubble.com/people/joshuatree1 Your Purchasing of the previous photographs and donations via our website has truly enabled us to help many on this mission.
