  I did a tally. I have photographed around 220 species of Australian wildlife / (including more than 190 species of bird!). / All found and photographed in the wild over the last couple years. Yet I consider myself a novice ‘birder’ and don’t even use binoculars / to help me locate species. Recipe: research + petrol + walking + luck! / (add in some flies, dust and corrugated roads for good measure) To me there are few things more satisfying than travelling and exploring / new places then finding new species to add to my photo collection. / Australia has such an amazing variety of wildlife out there! Our travels have included wetlands, coastal areas, mallee scrub, / woodland and forests. Day trips or longer trips that can see us camping / in the car and ‘roughing it’ for a few days at a time. / I love it – each trip is a bit of an adventure.   Hi all. Is it me, or this year, there is a lack of Starlings and Sparrows ?? In the Terrace where I live, (9 Cottages) not one of us has had any Sparrows nesting this year, and walking through the parks, Sparrows and Starlings are conspicuous by their absence. Have any more of you noticed this decline ?? Thanks. Richard.

  Many thanks to Bits And Pieces Group for featuring Tulip Love Affair this week :D A few days ago, I sold my first button/badge at Zazzle from someone named Charles(whom I dont think I know)....and after that I started making more buttons where previously I had very few buttons in my store…and a fellow zazzler by the name of Susan bought a button from me just yesterday.   Hihi! Udonchow has expanded! I have started another gallery here in RB, it’ called smile4me :D I decided to journal about this again(in greater details :D) because I’ve been pretty low profile about it and have not made much publicity about it. smile4me is a gallery showcasing my toys photography, yes Ophelia appears on photos too! View all my other toys and dolls in natural green settings and read the mini short stories that I have written about them too :D In addition, I have also started another Zazzle store called Heartworks that sells my toy photography stuff. Below are the shoes that I have designed from my Heartworks store, I am in the midst of designing more :D In moments like this, I wish I can have extra pairs of hands and more hours! I’m now managing 2 RBs and 2 Zazzles….and at the same time, I still painting and drawing…which is something which I do not want to stop :D The reason of the expansion (or some call it segregation) between the fine arts and photography is mainly because the concepts and appearance of the works are very different.   hmm well the Blue Jay sega still continues. I set out whole peanuts yesterday and within a few hours he proceeded to give me supreme heck for sitting on my deck in the evening. He wanted the peanuts but wouldn’t come down while i was there. Then this morning he stayed away until i left my post long enough to get ready for the day. While i was preoccupied he swooped in and stole two peanuts. I may set up the tripod and use the remote to get the shot lol. The sega continues…. will post when i get the shot.. I hope
