  • Amazingly there are 20 species of Magpie in the world. Not quite sure which I have painted here… looks more like an Australian magpie Many people consider them superstitious, they certainly have their place in folklore, some believe they bring good luck, others believe bad. I remember being played Rossini’s Thriving Magpie when I was quite young; it is said they have a panache for shiny, silvery things which they like to steal and hide. / Here the magpie has found a key! I wonder where it came from? I see him as a ‘Keeper of Secrets’. / The selected text comes from a traditional rhyme I was told as a child: One for sorrow, Two for joy, / Three for a girl, Four for a boy, / Five for Silver, Six for Gold / Seven for a secret never to be told This is an acrylic painting on canvas.

  • Mixed Media & Digital Illustration. When you hold yourself hostage, be it in a physical or mental nature, you may be depriving yourself of something potentially beautiful, holding back from the truth trying to cage away the bits you don’t like and revealing only what you think others will approve of. • MARION CHAMPMAN is a wonderful artist and a lover of patterns and design.. Printmaking and experimenting with all kinds of materials and colors.. she really turns my head.. Marion… truth be told.. Kauai is not a very pastel-y place.. so I took my photo and gave it a Marion Wash.. I love this shot..I do not know what this is but I spent some time with this guy..It was a very tall tree and that is how the leaves grow on it.. no branches!! Marion’s Chapman’s Pastels inspired Maddy of Smudge ARt Fame to write a most lovely lovely piece.. My gratitude for the Love here is ever growing.. Thank YOu Maddy! What beauty is this I behold ? / “A feast to ones eye”, I am told. / Leaves wrapped in soft hues. / Colors of gold, red and spiritual blues. “A tree without branches ”, she did say. / Just leaves that enfold it in every way. / Lina sad, this tree amazed me so, / I could not look at it and just let it go. It inspired me until I returned home, / In my minds eye, this is the tone. / I know Creator left this for me to do, / So I painted it gold, red and spiritual blue.

  • Seriously, i need a model, a free one, that is cool and likes to do whatever I want to create…. / Also I wish my hair was that long, it was pretty close once upon a time. I was thinking about Dreams today (the life goals kinda dreams), i thought about the way its called a dream and thought about my interpretation of its meaning. / A dream (of the mind as you rest) is this strange crazy event and you are just so lost in the whole thing, everything that happens makes no sense, but you pretend it does so well that your pretending turns to believing quite instantly. It always starts of fairly simple, but then shit happens, more shit happens and more and more shit happens, until you completely forget how you got to where you are and what the purpose of whatever it is you are doing is, then you wake up, and you either forget the whole thing and go back to living life, or you remember it as just some crazy event and you have no idea what was going through your mind at the time and then you go back to living life and all the while nothing really ever happened. / A dream (the goal kinda dream) is the same thing, you think of a dream, then you go through some shit, forget what the hell you are doing and get completely lost and all the other stuff that i said for the sleep dream, then at some stage you have woken up and are just back to living life, its just some event that happened that you are slowly forgetting over time. / I think thats why its called a dream…..... We can still hope it comes true though, especially this one… . Self Nikon D90 18-200mm Featured in / Hairstyles / Young enthusiasts
