I haven’t felt terribly motivated recently, not even for my art and photography. When I’ve forced my creativity in the past, it’s usually left me frustrated and disappointed with the end resut so I thought I’d give myself a few days and see how I felt. I was a bit concious about leaving things too long, so this evening I managed to come up with this Oink Art. This gentle giant always puts a smile on my face, hope he does you, too. Well here it is the final image i am posting for the children’s book….finally finished the manuscript…lots of work …..had to add scenes ..more images…great though cause it is a picture book :)....i though i would leave the rest of the images as a surprise :)...i would explain this image but i don’t want to give it away …hope you can forgive me :)...to be honest i am sad i won’t be albe to share more images of lilliput and his adventure….have to keep it a secret…i did did make a decision to submit to a publishing house instead of self publishing…i am crossing my fingers…i have been doing my homework so i hope i won’t be rejected to much :) thank you everyone for the encourgement you have given me here on RB for my Lilliput Series…i truly appreciate it:)

This started out an a plain infrared image of the tree….. I may have gotten a little carried away because I just counted the layers and there were 15! The tree is in Edgeworth, Newcastle, NSW, near a new housing estate. It may be familiar to those of you who have been watching me for a while. I often like to go and visit this guy…hopefully he will be there for a while longer.

I think every Australian knows of Port Arthur, for dark events that happened here, both in the recent past, and early days of Australia. A correctional facility for the re-offending criminals from Britain and Ireland, this was more than just a jail. It was about changing these men to rejoin society. It was used from 1833 until the 1877 when it was closed down. This was the main church, and it was one of Australia’s first non-denominational churches. Built using convict labour, in the gothic style. The bird in the shot is a crow. I did try to get one of the many rosellas in the area in the shot, but no luck there. Canon 50D, 10mm.
