Take advantage of whatever time is given to you. You never realize how precious it could have been until it’s over. / / Four blackbirds sit on a fence surrounding the pool at a park by our house. this is another one in memory of my brother, the third bird with the light on him and with his head tilted down is representative of my brother while the the other three birds are the rest of us kids. The entering of a new era… the Old district of St. John’s is overtaken by the new architecture of this era. The pigeon in the foreground seems to emphasize the character and timlessness of Old St. John’s. / / / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / Canon Rebel

/ A flock of birds, it swooped and danced, Held my gaze while I stood entranced. They moved as one through the atmosphere A minuet as they drew near. Thousands of birds in a flight of grace; Each tiny bird kept its own place. The percussion beat of their drumming wings Keeping time while the multitude sings, And I can hear them on their stage in the air A traveling show to who knows where. Perhaps a summer home, a perch, A quiet place in a Silver Birch. An end to the long dance, a place to rest Where wing and song can pause in a feathered nest.

A depiction of my life a year ago ( a whole year…yay!!) when I escaped an old life and ran towards the wonderful new life I have today. / The old life was full of dark corners and neverending unexpected twists and turns and feeling like I was trapped in a place where I didn’t want to be. The new life is a zillion times better! Just me and my camera! Oh and photoshop of course :D Took this shot a few weeks ago on a stormy afternoon in a rural area a few kms from where I live and then it just started to evolve in PS.

This is part of the Bear River National Wildlife Refuge that is about 6 miles from my home in Logan, Utah. The mountain range in the background is the Wellsville Mountains, Google them and see some interesting statistics about them! Of course I added the cute Lazuli Bunting, the extra layer of silhouette leaves and the moon, plus a little more cloud color..;-)

Emu’s have to be one of God’s weirdest creations. It shows He has a sense of humour.
