This shirt is completely true. Please go to the PETA website for more info. And don’t worry, the puppy in the picture is my adopted dog Mattie. She’s my muse for many of my designs. This is a photo of her the day I adopted her when found in an alley with her brothers & sisters. She’s been with me for 11 1/2 years now. 20% of sales donated to the Humane Society and PETA For more info on the bloody evils of the fur trade or to find out how to make the torture stop, go to peta.org To see more of my artwork and designs, visit http://www.cafepress.com/buy/samitha/-/cfpt2_/cfpt_/source_searchBox/copt_ Poppy website: http://www.samitha.org

Featured in ‘Cards: Animals and pets’ (July 2009 – Thank you!) Pino is a wonderful nandu (Rhea americana), that lives on the local children’s farm. / Isn’t he cute? Update July 2009: Pino unfortunately died a little while ago. The children and I were sad but glad that we still have some lovely portraits of him. Pino again: /

The Red-Legged Partridge (Alectoris rufa) is abundant around my cottage, a couple of winters ago I woke one morning to see sixteen of them huddled in my garage with frosty backs trying to keep out of the wind. The males often stand on the roof of an old stable nearby and declare their teritory in the spring time.

Acrylic painting depicting the endangered Wedge Tailed Eagle in Tasmania.
It was estimated that this flock of 50,000 was one of the largest seen of these Snow Geese migrating through the St. Alfred region in Ontario, Canada. It was an overwhelming experience and a once in a lifetime. The air movement from the flapping wings and the geese call made the air rumble as if a freight train was going by.

This is Annie. She was the first chick I hatched out of an egg in the incubator last year when I got into chickens. Her mother is Belle and her father is Rowdy. Annie disappeared on me and I felt awful. I was sure some critter had ate her for supper. Well, 21 days later with no signs of Annie ever found not even a feather she showed back up and brought home 7 little chicks with her. She is such a good mama hen.
Taken 12/12/09 between Kingston and Sweetwater, TN.
