Sure, the bird was interesting, but he really should have paid more attention to what was coming up behind him. Unfortunately for Willie “The Birdman” Whiters, it would be the last mistake he would ever make. I just finished this one up last night. Overall, I’m fairly pleased with it.

This female Blackbird, among other featherballs, has been doing a great job this winter in devouring the red crab apple berries on this tree in our back garden. The red fruit are a real mess when they fall on the ground and get trodden underfoot, so “Bravo” to all my feathered friends! ;o) p.s. just look at that long yellow tongue!!!
