Photographic based digital montage 2007 (1 from series of 6 – redesigned from 2004/5 Japanese Series) I shot the tree, flowers, roses, birds, combined them in P/S with drawn elements & filtered the lot. Approximately 50 Photoshop layers. The lot 60×60cms are printed on canvas gracing the walls of my home.

Taken at Monsalvat in Eltham, Victoria, Australia. I couldn’t resist this approach as the old house begged for treatment and a dark and moody atmosphere. Hadn’t been here since I went there for a wedding as a young child, this approach to the image is sort of what I remember the place being like! HDR from 3 exposures in Photomatix, Adobe Lightroom conversion to Antique Light and then birds added in Adobe Photoshop CS3. The defensive Tower house of Smailholm, just over the Scottish border, near Kelso. The tower was built in the mid 1400’s at a time when lawlessness and violent bands of reivers, ravaged the lands both sides of the English-Scottish border. And a solitary white swan, resides below the Tower Even today, the landscape is lonely, and you can easily imagine the starkness of those dark days.
