We all know this feeling! This is my favourite design because it’s wild and cute at the same time. I took this photo at the Melbourne Zoo while on work experience and had fun playing around with it on the computer.
Amazingly there are 20 species of Magpie in the world. Not quite sure which I have painted here… looks more like an Australian magpie Many people consider them superstitious, they certainly have their place in folklore, some believe they bring good luck, others believe bad. I remember being played Rossini’s Thriving Magpie when I was quite young; it is said they have a panache for shiny, silvery things which they like to steal and hide. / Here the magpie has found a key! I wonder where it came from? I see him as a ‘Keeper of Secrets’. / The selected text comes from a traditional rhyme I was told as a child: One for sorrow, Two for joy, / Three for a girl, Four for a boy, / Five for Silver, Six for Gold / Seven for a secret never to be told This is an acrylic painting on canvas.
This wattlebird was so engrossed in raiding the flowers it seemed to be totally oblivious to me, I really was only about 3 metres away from it. / I’m told the flower is known as redhot pokers.

This will be the last origami piece I post before heading off to Rome; and I will unlikely be doing anymore while I’m in school. I’m not fooling around; I made these ducks before in the first version of “3cm Family Swim” as shown above; and remember I said I may redo that shot at some point? I’ll still keep the other one up though. In this coloured version I coloured the water and sky and placed a transparent ruler over the water. This one has one less duckling than the previous one (I laid off the little guy who wouldn’t raise his bum :P) Every duck was folded from trace paper; mommy duck was folded from a 15×15mm piece, the middle one was 6×6mm, and the little one at the back 5×5mm. Blue Tit – Cyanistes caeruleus. Devon, UK. Text adapted from Michael J. Seago, full text can be found at - http://www.birdsofbritain.co.uk/bird-guide/blue-tit.asp These brightly coloured familiar birds are often seen in winter groups searching trees and branches for insects and spiders. Each twig and leaf is thoroughly examined, the birds advancing in small rapid hops, seizing items either while perched upright or hanging upside down. While searching, each blue tit has a habit of holding its head back as if short-sighted! This constant activity is enhanced by persistent flicks and twitches of wings and tail and frequent calls. In times past blue tits frequently, especially in winter, tore open the foil tops of milk bottles, drinking the top layer of milk. Groups of these ever-restless and inquisitive birds were known to follow milkmen or wait for milk deliveries. The nest is in a hole in a tree, wall, stump, gate-post or outhouse. Few birds more readily accept the shelter of a nest-box. The same hole is occupied year after year. The blue tit is a close sitter hissing at an intruding finger. Nesting material is usually moss, wool, hair and feathers. A clutch of eggs is often large. From 12 to 18 eggs are on record. Probably seven or eight is normal and large clutches are laid by two or even more hens. Main predators include grey squirrels and great spotted woodpeckers. In northern Europe blue tits undertake wildly fluctuating eruptive movements from time to time. Birds ringed in autumn in Sweden have been recovered in Germany and Belgium.

Another peacock feather pic. Ive always been fascinated with the colours of peacocks, and the way they fan their tail feathers out. They are one of the most magnificent looking birds. Taken with a Canon 5D and 100-400mm L Series Lens. Could make a nice greeting card?
This is the second of my new series of boat paintings. / This painting is watercolour on paper. Image size, 42×46 cms. Seriously, i need a model, a free one, that is cool and likes to do whatever I want to create…. / Also I wish my hair was that long, it was pretty close once upon a time. I was thinking about Dreams today (the life goals kinda dreams), i thought about the way its called a dream and thought about my interpretation of its meaning. / A dream (of the mind as you rest) is this strange crazy event and you are just so lost in the whole thing, everything that happens makes no sense, but you pretend it does so well that your pretending turns to believing quite instantly. It always starts of fairly simple, but then shit happens, more shit happens and more and more shit happens, until you completely forget how you got to where you are and what the purpose of whatever it is you are doing is, then you wake up, and you either forget the whole thing and go back to living life, or you remember it as just some crazy event and you have no idea what was going through your mind at the time and then you go back to living life and all the while nothing really ever happened. / A dream (the goal kinda dream) is the same thing, you think of a dream, then you go through some shit, forget what the hell you are doing and get completely lost and all the other stuff that i said for the sleep dream, then at some stage you have woken up and are just back to living life, its just some event that happened that you are slowly forgetting over time. / I think thats why its called a dream…..... We can still hope it comes true though, especially this one… . Self Nikon D90 18-200mm Featured in / Hairstyles / Young enthusiasts
