Maybee you know the RPG Game Fallout I & II from interplay, its probaly the best and funnyest rpg i know, and because i love it, and I like postapocalyptic scenes, i Shot the Fallout-series. / I asked a friend of mine if he could model as a fallout-boy.

Hippopotamuses are one of the largest extant mammals in the world.Hippos are considered megafauna, but unlike all other African megafauna, hippos have adapted for a semi-aquatic life in fresh water lakes and rivers.For additional protection from the sun, their skin secretes a natural sunscreen substance which is red-colored. The secretion is sometimes referred to as “blood sweat,” but is neither blood nor sweat. This secretion is initially colorless and turns red-orange within minutes, eventually becoming brown. Two distinct pigments have been identified in the secretions, one red and one orange. The two pigments are highly acidic compounds. They are known as red pigment hipposudoric acid and orange pigment norhipposudoric acid. The red pigment was found to inhibit the growth of disease-causing bacteria, lending credence to the theory that the secretion has an antibiotic effect. The light absorption of both pigments peaks in the ultraviolet range, creating a sunscreen effect. All hippos, even those with different diets secrete the pigments, so it does not appear that food is the source of the pigments.

This is the Biology building at the University of York and for some time I thought it would make a good subject for a selective colour photo. Despite this I rejected the idea because it is fronted by a large and unattractive car park. Fortune smiled and Easter Sunday brought an empty car park and a covering of snow.

There is a Beautiful Ornamental Garden surrounding the Home wherein Eye lay my Beret. A gently spurgling fountain provides a sweet background, overlaid by the songbirds punctuating the atmosphere as they flit from bush to tree & back again; jockeying for best advantage to call-in a prospective mate. It’s all very melodious …. This is an all-day/everyday Thang. So you know when somebody’s off-tune; when there is discord —literally. There is a small tribe of BlueJays that buzz through the area a few times a week & they are LOUD. Eye don’t mind. They make their presence known for an hour or so, & then move on. Kool. Thats when Eye heard it. One the the Jays was having a histrionic fit: BALLISTIC. Must be a cat in the hood … As Eye push thru some of the denser bush to investigate, I hear a sharp pop near the top of my head. When the PAIN Eye feel tells me that WAS my head, Eye realize Eye’m being dive-bombed in a very serious way by a vigilant Mama who ain’t gonna let NUTHIN’ mess with what is just now suddenly in front of me: a spooked Baby Jay, who had been deep in flight training when the neighborhood feline hunter (and now Eye) showed up. Baby J was SO still that my face almost collided with her little body when Mama decided to enlarge my Crown Chakra. Eye have no idea how Eye Got The Shot. But Eye did … :>
