Alarm went off at 4:15am, left home by 4:40am and got to Bilgola at 5:15am. Too late. Still just managed to catch some nice light. I bought some Singh Ray filters mid November. I did not get a chance to try them out until after Xmas – says a lot about the mad rush leading up to this period of the year. After using them I am in awe as to how effective they are. BEST VIEWED LARGER Bilgola is one of the manuy beaches within a short drive or bus trip from Sydney , when visiting Sydney a trip north will reveal some of the most stunning coastline and secluded beaches to please the eye. This is my neighbourhood,, a cold drink a seafood banquet is the best way to view it , or through the eyepiece of your camera. Equipment used Nikon D300, Nikon 18-200mm lens no filters processed through three bracketed photos processed with Photomatix.

Bilgola….one of my favorite pools on the far North Shores of Sydney. This is one of those “wet” images….i.e. standing in the water with tripod firmly planted.

A full car park at one of the prettier beaches on the Sydney Northern beaches, just as much for the coffee & food at Anthonys’ Cafe. You can be assured the coffee is great and the BLT is to die for….
