SOLD: One large Canvas Print / One large Mounted Print / One 11X14 Mounted Print This is my SOUL MATE, he is my husband, he is a biker, and a cowboy, and he is 1/4 Native American, from the Cherokee Tribe. He is always in his best element when he is one with nature. He loves the outdoors and especially out away from it all. I took a lot of different shots that day, and I can’t make up my mind which one I like best. I shot hard and fast, took the sky first, then my first shot of my husband, there alone silhouetted against that great sky, reflecting in the water. I shot thinking how amazing, how great, and then the eagle came up. At first I thought it was a hawk, and I was shooting fast and furious without thinking. / On the way down the mountain I caught another shot of the sky with silhouetting trees and animals. I decided on one shot to cut the eagle and my husband out and place it in another shot. I actually prefer my composite over this one. / I have taken more pictures of my husband, than any other person in my life, lol. He is truly my favorite model. / He has always wanted a Harley and so I bought this for his Christmas, but unfortunately due to the economy we had to give it up and sell it. We will always have this memory, and my husband says he loves all the pictures I took, and even the composite, but this one is his favorite. / Neither of us really like the title, but truly can’t think of anything else. Anyone with any suggestions?

My brother inlaw’s Yamaha Roadstar This was actually done in HDR, but I couldn’t stand all the blue reflecting from the sky (note the clouds in the rearview mirror) so I made it black and white (the bike is actually black, so that worked out) and did some more treatments. So to break it down, it is HDR, just edited to the point that it doesn’t have that “HDR feel” to it. Get it? Got it. Good. This piece was featured in the Cars, Bikes, and Motorsports group. WHY RIDE A MOTORCYCLE? / Motorcycles and scooters emit less greenhouse gas than cars. They also reduce traffic congestion, save travel time, are cheaper to manufacture, more economical to run, and take up less parking space.

Having an overwhelming interest in customised transport, I created this piece as a self-caricature (and homage to Mad Max Thunderdome) during the recent upsurge in petrol prices- when it reaches $3 per litre, this is what I’ll look like! I drew the original piece with Indian ink and a brush, and then scanned it into Photoshop where I layered paint and textures over the original linework.

We worked every day, Sunday included, until at least ten o’clock at night. I remember it was an event when we quit work on Christmas night at eight o’clock to attend a family reunion. ~ Walter Davidson, one of the founders of Harley-Davidson. Tim let me hop off the back and shoot this one evening. I couldn’t resist the combination of light and shadows, and the railroad track disappearing over the horizon.*
