Mmmmmmm, salt….. / Bolivia’s Salar de Uyuni – one of the more surreal cycling experiences. There’s about 5000 square kilometers of this stuff. The only regret I have about this trip was that I didn’t try to ride clean across it – a two day effort by all accounts. Maybe next time.

This was shot on on my Nikon FM2 with Ilford Delta 100 B&W Film. It is the first roll I ever developped myself, as part of my Black & White Course at the ACP. Random shots of my life in Como. This is from last year’s trip to Greece. This photo is from Chania, Crete. I was becoming a holiday snapper so I decided to put myself a project to keep me thinking in a creative way. The project had a simple enough title. “Bicycles”. After leaving Greece I still try to capture a good bike shot, but keeping the bikes as a small part of the compisition but still the point of interest.
