  • Part of a collection of inner City Sydney moments: ‘Blink and You’ll Miss It’ - This image was recently used by DannyNolan in his journal entry EPIC / It’s a great read so check it out. / - Although this might look like a feral inner city cat, he was simply yawning after dozing on the first sunny and dry day in Sydney in what seemed like weeks. Thanks to MBartworks for the title.

  • While my scanner is on the blink I’ve been going through some of my photos taken while in Shanghai, China in 2006 and found a few with potential. I don’t think I’ll upload too many as photography isn’t one of my strong points, but it is fun to see what you can do with an image and photoshop. This one was taken on the poorer streets of Shanghai, all those bikes just caught my eye!

  • I was out shooting with a student the other day and sadly a load of our pictures got corrupted by a bad data link between my CF card-reader and the PC. This one survived, with a few others. Amazing weather that afternoon; thunder, lightning, torrential rain. Great drama.

  • The Vietnamese have an uncanny way of being able to tell when it’s about to rain and carry plastic ponchos under the seats of their bikes. As the heavens open, and you’re caught unawares, you can do nothing but stand there, soggy and marvel at them all zooming around, undeterred by the torrential downpour. Taken in Saigon, Vietnam.
