Siberian Tiger at the nature park in Dominican Republic

The Male Lion of the Ft. Worth zoo pride. Late in the day shot the sun is behind the lion open enclosure with weak light. I used the museum settinh with the timer opption to steady the camera. The camera is a nikon coolpix 4 about 3 megipixels.

My Daughter took this shot with the worst digital camera I havd the mistake of buying. I thought it was a good starter camer 4 megapixel off brand. you cant see the screen in daylight to see what your shooting at and the shutter is so slow that most images are blured from pressing the sutter button. This image she capture at the Ft. Worth zoo and capture the movement of the Jaguar by chance in such a way that I haven’t been able with a Nikon with trypod and spotting lens tracking. I promised to post it here for her.

This newborn Lion cub was only one day old. It was an amazing sight to witness.

A beautiful Cheetah lays on it’s side resting in the shade from the hot summer sun. Taken with a digital camera. Some interesting facts about this creature: The cheetah ( Acinonyx jubatus) is considered a threatened species. The main challenges to it’s survival are of course loss of habitat by man and other competing predator species such as lions and hyenas.

The new additions to the Ft. Worth zoo and the reason I went and they stayed 300 ft back and slept. AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH. I thought I could get some cute photos of them playing. All well I’ll try again soon.

Two young lions lounge in the mid day sun. Our guide told us that it may be that the lions didn’t belong to a pride and probably roamed the crater together;probably brothers. / They seemed quite content in eachothers company and very very relaxed! Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania. March 2007.
