Ella is a sultry little vixen deciding which heart to grab next. I adore her magnificent striped dress and gigantic fluttery eyelashes – who could resist! If Ella look familiar, it may be because she was recently chosen to appear on Avant Cards distributed around Australia ..................♥ the fine print ♥…............... the brilliant male cardinal paid another visit to the feeder today. I never tire of seeing this magnificent cresture, nor tire of photographing it. Every shot is different and unique, I love the way he fanned out his tail, cocked his head, as if to say, “take this shot!” /

Getting to know the stars is an important part of landscape photography. Using a compass and G.P.S I was able to pinpoint the South Celestial Star. Because of the rotation of the earth, using a six hour exposure gives the feeling of the stars trailing around this point. I used a 5 million candle power flashlight to illuminate the sand dune. Because of the massive size of the dune I had to climb an adjacent dune and paint the light on from there. Camera – Fuji Gx617 / Film – Fuji Velvia

This was done as a small “in between” thing while taking breaks from revision. My friend Coolness Bears (who has an account here but doesn’t actually make any art =P ) suggested I draw a teddybear on a balloon. So here it is! / As always, if any tweaks are needed, let me know! Kind of reminds me of my Freedom drawing (girl on a balloon), which I hadn’t thought about at first. Done from scratch in Illustrator. Small design available here. /

Ah! Hellboy. A great Hero/Anti-Hero whichever way you’d like it, he’s awesome. And he loves Cats, so he’s got my vote either way ;) I did this a while ago. Never really had anywhere other than my website to put it up. I just did this to see if I could apply my style to comic book characters. Drawn on A3 Copy Paper, Colored in Photoshop CS3 with a Wacom Intuos 3 Tablet Detail: /

I came up with the idea…that tiny things are just as important as big things…. / a tiny heart gifts as much life as a huge heart / a tiny tree gives us air to breathe / a tiny star provides light to guide us….. It matters not that things are small, or have small beginnings, they are still worthwhile, as worthwhile as the big things, and as it says in the song / from little things big things grow / / /
