  • / Thank you Rebecca (and invisible friend) for the picture.

  • Short break from Shetland (where trees are at a premium!) to venture into the very beautiful cemetery in Lancaster. Some superb trees and this one caught my eye with its split trunk towering into the dark blue sky. / Just added a slight diffuse glow in Photoshop to remove the ‘clinical’ sharpness and add a small element of ‘mystery’. Hope you like it – back to Shetland soon:-) / Thanks for looking, / Richard Tech Detls / Nikon D200 / Sigma 10-20mm @10mm / f16 1/20s / ISO200

  • The loveliness of the Logistic map, the beauty of chaos. Simple mathematics of populations that, depending on the value of just one parameter, can give a single result, or cycle between two, or three numbers, or more … or, for the right values, will descend into chaos, never coming to rest on a pattern.

  • Old Atcham Bridge, was built in 1776 and crosses the River Severn at Atcham, near Shrewsbury. The new bridge was built in 1992 which runs almost parallel with the old bridge. / Taken with my Nikon D300 and 18-50 Sigma lens then processed in Capture One and NX2. and HRD’d in Dynamic Photo.
