One of few images of a Rainbow Bee Eaters in flight I have ever seen. These bird fly at up to 40-60km an hour and this one was holding on to a special delivery for her young chicks. This image was captured with a Canon DSLR and Professional lens at short range. Shot at 1/4000th of a second.

Great White Egret landing on a sheet of glass water at the Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge.

A lone snowy egret flies low over dew covered dunes on the edge of a large salt marsh, looking for a place to settle in for the morning and hunt. This particular salt marsh is one of my favorite places to shoot at dawn on Cape Cod. The creek that runs through it empties out into the Nantucket sound, and contains a large amount of fish, crustaceans and mollusks, making it a great feeding spot for many shorebirds. Turkey Vulture scouring the rocky waters below in search of his next meal. This photo was captured in a unique natural lighting where the spotty sunlight hits the vulture at just the right time while the darken rocky waters in shadow below dramatically frames the vulture in his flight.

A digital reinterpretation of one of my original photograph, Snowy Egret in Marsh Reinterpretted is dramatically framed in a darken green tone focusing in on the bright white Snowy Egret. A band of light heightens the focal plane as the egret patiently and methodically hunts for its meal in solitude amidst the calm marsh. This piece is best viewed in a large canvas where the complex texture and colors and minimalistic composition can be fully appreciated.
