It’s great to see so many talented people getting involved in the creative community on RedBubble and, from the sound of things, enjoying the experience. Here at HQ we’re doing our bit to spread the word, but we’d love your help in letting your creative friends know about RedBubble. The more people and the more diverse the content, the better the community will be. A few related things worth mentioning: / / - We’ve invited some great artists to come on board from ArtsConnect , an artist directory and online arts portal. Teresa, who runs ArtsConnect, is also helping spread the word to her networks. / / / - RedBubble is sponsoring the Daylesford Foto Biennale , a month-long photographic festival with over 20 main exhibitions, 75 umbrella events, and more than 30 workshops. Expect to see lots of DFB’07 participants appearing on RedBubble, led by festival director Jeff Moorfoot / / / - RedBubble will have a stand at the HIA Home Ideas Show in April, to help promote your work to people renovating or decorating their homes. / / / - We’ve secured Readings in Carlton for launching the RedBubble Short Story Prize compilation book in May. The book will be available for sale in all Readings stores (and we’re working on getting bookstores in other states to stock it too). / / If you’ve got other ideas about how to spread the word, or know people in organisations that might like to partner with us, please let us know at earswideopen@redbubble.com.au

Hullo fellow RedBubblers! I’m having an exhibition – ensemble:place by pinhole – as part of the Daylesford Foto Biennale, 2 June – 1 July, 2007. You can find out more about the exhibition here. Opening Details (RedBubblers most welcome!) / June 2, 1-3pm / The Weavery, 63 Fraser Street, Clunes / (Clunes is about half an hour from Daylesford, 20 minutes from Ballarat) / Drinks, nibbles, live music and some photos too. And if you’re at all interested in photography, the Daylesford Foto Biennale is SO worth a look – in fact you could spend the whole month of June looking. There’s over 120 photographic events (including 80ish exhibitions) across the Heburn Shire. Go!

These are the panels that I took to Florence, Italy and won the award with….. I am pleased with how they turned out. 3 months of painting….6 months of research…..before it all came together. The effort was worth it. I was able to bring a Medici Medal, the Lorenzo il Magnifico Award back for Australia. Not too many medals for the arts come back here to Oz…... It has been the highlight of my career to date…. The image copyright is covered by Viscopy, so the only place you can get prints is here at RedBubble…....
