I bid you adieu... for awhile

Hello to all my RB friends, I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to offer encouragement with lovely comments on my work. Unfortunately, I am going to be unable to reciprocate with regular comments on your work for awhile. My watchlist has gotten so large that it has become impossible to keep up. As much as I would like to sit all day long and comment on your wonderful images (spoken like a true RB addict – LOL!), I now have many personal commitments that will limit my time here. The fruit is ripening on the trees and the pecans are falling with the high winds we have had. It is canning time (applesauce, pear preserves, pear and apple butter) and time to get those pecans off the ground and packaged for sale. We have dear friends arriving from Canada for a visit around Thanksgiving next month so I must also get my house back in order. It is suffering from RB-induced neglect. My part-time photography business has also begun to pick up. I have images from a shoot that I must download and start working on. I also have a personal photography website that is not finished and needs my attention. With all these commitments and the holidays fast approaching, I must be realistic and put Redbubble lower on my priority list. This saddens me as I have so enjoyed viewing your work and getting to know so many of you. I will continue to be active with my co-host duties for the Route 66 group and the Georgia group. I do use the RB bubblesite to advertise my photography business so you will occasionally see new work being uploaded. However, please do not feel that you have to comment on my images. Since I won‘t be able to comment on your work on a regular basis, I will understand if you use your time on RB to comment on the work of other, more active members. That is how it should be! I’ll be around but just not as often. Patricia

One-horned Rhinoceros…..... Asian One-horned Rhinoceros is a large mammal found in Nepal, Bhutan, and in Assam, India. It is confined to the tall grasslands and forests in the foothills of the Himalayas. The Indian Rhinoceros can run at speeds of up to 25 mph for short periods of time and is also an excellent swimmer. It has an excellent sense of hearing and smell and relatively poor eyesight. In size it is equal to that of the white rhino in Africa. Not including the white rhino, it is the largest of all rhinos, and probably the one with the best armor, along with the Javan rhino’s armor. This rhino is a major success of conservation. Only 100 remained in the early 1900s and now their population has increased but even so they are still endangered.

Bidding Wars (Hail Fellow comp entry)
by DamianMany were itching to place a bid. The threat of a broken knee by Big Mikey stopped the itch more effectively than any powder ever could.
My entry in the ‘Hail Fellow’ competition in the Short Stories group. The photograph by David Malcolmson was the story and competition catalyst.
