Acrlic on stretched canvas. / Inspired by Psalm 96 11 Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; / let the sea resound, and all that is in it; 12 let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them. / Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy; 13 they will sing before the LORD, for he comes, / he comes to judge the earth. / He will judge the world in righteousness / and the peoples in his truth.

This is my entry for the Photoshop Creative competition / Digital Mixed Media. Mostly done in Photoshop CS2. A touch of Corel Painter and Apophysis 2.0. This image is composed of digital painting, a few fractals, and several photographs added for texture. I hope you all like it because I’ve been working on it for most of this week :). / This is the first I’ve completed in a new series: The Elijah Series. This image represents the chariot of fire. You can read about it here: 2 Kings 2:7-12. There is so much going on in this image so I’ll help you out: The Chariot driven by some sort of Angelic being is in the center of the image while the horses of fire are at the bottom, very front of the image. The blazing light of Heaven is in the very back. Basically, the sky has opened up and the Chariot of Fire is coming down from Heaven to separate Elisha and Elijah. The whirlwind that takes Elijah up into Heaven will be the next image I do in this series. Thank you for looking!

My interpretation of Genesis 11. Acrylic on canvas.
I was thinking of Julie Langford’s dear mother as I worked on this image, and I kept thinking how we all must undergo metamorphosis as we make the transition from this world where light is exterior to the next world where the interior light of our Maker can finally show through when we shed our caterpillar casing and spread our butterfly wings in the new life.
And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
“Look unto Me, and be ye saved.” Isaiah 45:22 This painting was inspired by the powerful devotions penned and published by Oswald Chambers in the early 1900’s. His powerful book, My Utmost for His Highest, continues to touch my life and draw me closer to Jesus. I hope that this art and verse do the same for you! When I first saw this stained glass window in a very old Catholic church in Houston, Texas, I was deeply touched by it. I had never seen Jesus depicted as a priest giving Holy Communion. I have a special devotion to the Eucharistic Christ (as explained in John 6) and to his body and blood which he offers us at daily Mass and through which he sustains us on our earthly journey, just as he offered manna to the Israelites and sustained them as they journeyed through the desert for 40 years in search of the Promised Land.
I layered several images in photoshop CS3 and blended them into one image. /
The Lord Is My Shepherd Calendar has a different image for each month and includes captures of Jesus as a baby being held by Mary, Jesus as a young boy with Joseph and Mary, Jesus and the woman at the well, Jesus holding a small child, / Jesus with the lambs, Jesus kneeling in prayer, The Last Supper and Jesus when He returns. Life is like a painting… you choose your own colors to make your life visible… which color you’ll pick? The colors of joy, kindness, forgiveness, selflessness or the colors of anger, hatred, lies, hypocrisy, unforgiving attitude…? People will see your painting as you go and one day you have to show the ready work to God. Choose your colors that He would be pleased. Matthew 5:16 / Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

A Visual collaboration between F. A. Moore / and myself for the group , Resurrection of the Exquisite Corpse _There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor. So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. / If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. verses . 40-44of Corinthians Chapter 15 An Explanation of how this is done a tough one for sure, this is what we had to do. This work is a work where you take *one inch only of someones work and “make a picture to tie into that one inch” I made the whole first picture, and then sent her through email , one inch of it. / here is what she saw.. she then did the bottom half of what you see, I then sent her through email the top half and I did complete top half. she then Blended in the works to erase some of the horizontal distractions.. this is my complete picture, which I will share at another time F.A. For He will give His angels charge of you / to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11 / Photograph of angel with enchancements.
And God Said, “Let bright lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. They will be signs to mark off the seasons, the days, and the years. Let their light shine down upon the earth.” And so it was. For God made two great lights, the sun and the moon, to shine down upon the earth. The greater one, the sun, presides during the day, the lesser one, the moon, presides through the night. He also made the stars. God set these lights in the heavens to light the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. This all happened on the fourth day. Genesis 1: 14-19 / / New Living Translation Bible Detail of Stained Glass Window at Saint George’s Anglican Church in Helmetta, NJ, USA
I have posted the lyrics to this song before, however, I thought of the same song while creating this artwork of Mary holding Jesus as a baby. Photograph of a statue of Mary and Jesus as a baby; enchanced with several software programs. For a beautiful song, listen here Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day walk on water? / Mary did you know that your baby boy will save our sons and daughters? / Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new? / This child that you’ve delivered, will soon deliver you. Mary did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man? / Mary did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand? / Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod? / And when you kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God.
