acrylic on canvas END OF DAYS Red sky in the morning, you’ve had your warning / the wolves are running, the end is coming See the white bird flying, he’s got a heart just like a lion / see the sun descending, on a world that fears an ending See the snake a creeping, as the children are a sleeping / there’s a tower in the middle, it’s built of death and lies and riddles Only love can set you free Sheep rushing to the fold, a remnant neither bought nor sold / a single shepherd on a rock, face all the nations for his flock see the light in motion, hits the earth just like an ocean / soon the sky unravels, stars fall down like so much gravel Look away from all your idols, this cursed earth is suicidal / lift your eyes up to the sky, see the heavens, see the heavens eye to eye only love can set you free

part of the Orthodox Christian Soldier series ENCYCLOPEDIA LITAE (Litai), a personification of the prayers offered up in repentance. They are described as the daughters of Zeus, and as following closely behind crime, and endeavouring to make amends for what has been done; but whoever disdains to receive them, has himself to atone for the crime that has been committed. (Hom. Il. ix. 502, &c.; Eustath. ad Hom. p. 768; Hesych. s. v. Aigai, calls them Aetae, which however is probably only a mistake in the name.) The view of the painting at the side of the pews in a cathederal
The Cathedral of Tours, France
Taken in a gypsy settlement near Kachirapalayam. India. / There is a special reason why this mother shows so much love to her child. This little girl is the only surviving child of 4. Due to the effects of poverty, sickness and Malnutrition, her other three children have passed away. There are 40,000000 gypsies in India, and are treated as Low caste. This mother and child are from the NARI-KOV-AVARS Gypsy tribe. Treated as outcasts, they are denied even the basics in life. My Heart goes out to them, and as long as God gives me breath and his anointing, I will continue to reach the poor and outcast with his Love and Salvation. But also to share their sufferings and struggles. I hope to have many join me in this great work, to make a real difference in the lives of these forsaken and mistreated people. + ALL PROCEEDS FROM SALE OF MY ART, AND DONATIONS MADE VIA THE PHILADELPHIA MISSION CHARITY WEBSITE, GOES TO HELP THOSE IN EXTREME POVERTY AND OUTCAST, IN REMOTE AND RURAL AFRICA AND INDIA+. that’s all we are saying… religion is an excuse to kill issued from the evil… no matter what country (or flag) you ‘worship’... part of the Orthodox Christian Soldier series
A view from the pulpit in a church
Looking down into the lady chapel at a cathederal
A portrait of Jesus Christ with bubble-like clouds and bubbly scallops at the end of one of the background graphics. I chose to depict Jesus in this graphic manner without fleshtones in order to overthrow the stereotypical Jesus that is widely familiar to the public therefore taking a step toward making HIS image more inclusive to people of all cultural backgrounds. I do admit that HIS facial structure and wavy hair excludes the characteristics of many cultures.
Hail, Mary, full of grace / The Lord is with thee. / Blessed art thou among women / And blesses is the fruit of thy womb – Jesus. / Holy Mary, mother of God / Pray for us sinners, / Now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.
I photographed this statue, changed the background and then added texture and special lighting. /

A view inside of a cathederal looking towards the pulpit
Stood by the pulpit in the Anglican Cathederal in Liverpool, looking back towards the main area of the cathederal. Believe it or not, this thing was built within the last 100 yeas, being finished in the 1970s!

"This is the will of God, even your sanctification." 1 Thessalonians 4:3 This painting was inspired by the powerful devotions penned and published by Oswald Chambers in the early 1900’s. His powerful book, My Utmost for His Highest, continues to touch my life and draw me closer to Jesus. I hope that this art and verse do the same for you! Read the devotional from My Utmost For His Highest that inspired this work. Sanctification #1, VerseVisions Art; 1 Thessalonians 4:3. Mark Lawrence, 2008. Digital mixed media on canvas, 36×36 inches. A beautiful old church in Green Bay, Wisconsin and the neighborhood around it inspired me to use this verse. Which I believe to be quite fitting.
