acrylic on canvas END OF DAYS Red sky in the morning, you’ve had your warning / the wolves are running, the end is coming See the white bird flying, he’s got a heart just like a lion / see the sun descending, on a world that fears an ending See the snake a creeping, as the children are a sleeping / there’s a tower in the middle, it’s built of death and lies and riddles Only love can set you free Sheep rushing to the fold, a remnant neither bought nor sold / a single shepherd on a rock, face all the nations for his flock see the light in motion, hits the earth just like an ocean / soon the sky unravels, stars fall down like so much gravel Look away from all your idols, this cursed earth is suicidal / lift your eyes up to the sky, see the heavens, see the heavens eye to eye only love can set you free

Stood by the pulpit in the Anglican Cathederal in Liverpool, looking back towards the main area of the cathederal. Believe it or not, this thing was built within the last 100 yeas, being finished in the 1970s!

A portrait of Jesus Christ with bubble-like clouds and bubbly scallops at the end of one of the background graphics. I chose to depict Jesus in this graphic manner without fleshtones in order to overthrow the stereotypical Jesus that is widely familiar to the public therefore taking a step toward making HIS image more inclusive to people of all cultural backgrounds. I do admit that HIS facial structure and wavy hair excludes the characteristics of many cultures.

"This is the will of God, even your sanctification." 1 Thessalonians 4:3 This painting was inspired by the powerful devotions penned and published by Oswald Chambers in the early 1900’s. His powerful book, My Utmost for His Highest, continues to touch my life and draw me closer to Jesus. I hope that this art and verse do the same for you! Read the devotional from My Utmost For His Highest that inspired this work. Sanctification #1, VerseVisions Art; 1 Thessalonians 4:3. Mark Lawrence, 2008. Digital mixed media on canvas, 36×36 inches. This lovely rich and deeply colouful photo was taken at Chatwsorth House, Derbyshire. As per the rest of the house the lighting was very low indeed, using flash completely blew out the interest. / so using an ISO of 1600 at 1/20 f4.5 was not ideal but the best i could get being hand held. / The grain in the shot and light diffussed look worked to some effect. Hail, Mary, full of grace / The Lord is with thee. / Blessed art thou among women / And blesses is the fruit of thy womb – Jesus. / Holy Mary, mother of God / Pray for us sinners, / Now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.
I photographed this statue, changed the background and then added texture and special lighting. /
Digital photography with scripture. Reminding us that Jesus is always the light in the darkness and that good will always prevail over evil. /
LLandaff Oratory is an oratory in Van Reenen, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The oratory was built by Maynard Mathews in memory of his son Llandaff Mathew who died while saving the lives of 8 co-workers at the Burnside Colliery mine on 19 March 1925. Initially Maynard Mathews wanted to erect a plaque in honour of his son at the Roman Catholic Church in Ladysmith, but could not secure permission to do so. Determined that a memorial to his son will be placed in a church, Maynard decided to build his own, have it consecrated a Catholic Church and become a priest himself (he was ordained into the Order of St Dominic on 7 May 1926). It is the only privately-owned Catholic church in the world and also claimed to be the smallest church in the world. The oratory seats just eight people, apparently the same number of people Llandaff saved in the mine accident and is architecturally based on a wing of the of the Cardiff Cathedral in Wales. The LLandaff Oratory is a National Monument
Part of a stained glass window in the beautiful little Saint Mark’s Chapel close to the Altenberger Dom, Germany. / The chapel was consecrated in 1145 or 1147 by Archbishop Arnold of Cologne. / Here the monastery held their services while the first Romanesque convent church was built (1125-1160). / Later it was for the sick and the tramontanes.
