/ ‘Beach Series’ card by Karin Taylor / a mixed media production on canvas textured paper / ink pastel acrylic charcoal Beach Betty is a cutesy retro style blonde beach chic from the past, daring to dress in her lingerie-like one-piece with exceptionally large thunder thighs, and not giving a hoot what anyone thinks…......behind her the surf in pumpin!!!

Waxy white beauty berries (Callicarpa species) ripening on a slender branch. Nature hedges her bets, not allowing all the seeds in the berries to ripen at once. Where one seed may fail, a later one may succeed. Photograph by Betty Mackey.

Colors shift and reflections flow in this surreal lake digital painting. The image is large enough for large canvas prints and medium posters, but I also like it as a card and bought some for myself.
-
From a hotrod show in Queenscliff.
-
A view through a portal to dawning light and perhaps mountains.

Mad Tiki Drive on a moonlit night! Get off the ROAD!!

Jazzy, abstract overhead view of a city and its traffic. The rich colors help give it that pulsating effect

Rich rounds of colors swirl in this digital abstract painting. To me it suggests a child’s eye view of Grandma’s button box. This is a very large image with blues and purples predominating. Here is an image of it as a laminated print. /

I don’t know .. something about the way this lady turned out, and while it is abstract it definitely looks enough like a lady that I feel free to call it a lady, reminds me of photos I’ve seen of Betty Page. I think it would be her, when she is younger and more carefree; probably indicates whatever turmoil, trauma, drama, etc. set her on her path.

Last month I took a nice photo of river rocks in a Zen garden, then today I applied about ten PhotoShop processes until I thought the soup was cooked.

Hi all… this is a graphite drawing of my husband as he was during his time in the military. Betty Sue refers to the rifle that he is taking such good care of. /

Betty Boo meets Andy Warhol. I don’t like overtly sexy photos of myself; I don’t like the hard sell. / But I do like the Pin-Up Girl, who loves to come out and play at times. What ever happened to that smouldering 50’s Cutesy Pie Darling who looked slightly awkward in her bathers and sort of brushed of your gaze with her shy smile? Her glamour and mystery will always be eternal next today’s brazen Sex Sells Stars, whose only desire is to shock our sex drives into a rude awakening, have us to delve into our wallets in an effort to feed the beast and loose our values and ourselves in the process.
