This started out as a Bettie Page drawing…but it just didn’t quite turn out that way. So it is a Bettie Inspired piece…. Sometimes my hands shake…and mixed with sharpie marker…don’t work well together. :) I wanted to do something fetush…guess the boots can be considered that… 8.5×11 / Sharpie.

For the love of Bettie Page, this is my little tribute to her.
After doing a few more of those versions of Golden age pin-ups I realised I hadn’t actually drawn that glamour girl of the 50’s Betty Page. This drawing turned out ok but I wasn’t too happy with her smile, she looks kinda nervous. Anyway this was based on a photo I had which I took artistic license with and changed rather a lot.
Bettie Page. The unfinished metomorphosis.
Bettie Page. / This is the result of my first attempt.
the one and only
Done during what little free time I have on my lunch breaks at work, this was inspired by the legendary Bettie Page. Although it doesn’t quite look like her, I still like how it turned out. It’s a small piece, only 3 1/2 by 5. / Pen and ink / June 2008

This is one of my early realistic drawings that I finished back in early 2005 of the infamous Bettie Page. Only slight variations were made to this piece in Photoshop in order to make the scan look like the original. The original is 6” x 6” on plain white bristol paper, sketched with a HB pencil, shaded in with 2B, 4B, and 8B pencils, and lined with a 4H pencil.
