  • Giant pandas are an endangered species, threatened by continued habitat loss and by a very low birthrate, both in the wild and in captivity.

  • The Orthoptera are an order of insects with paurometabolous or incomplete metamorphosis, including the grasshoppers, crickets and locusts. Many insects in this order produce sound by rubbing their wings against each other or their legs, the wings or legs containing rows of corrugated bumps. The tympanum or ear is located in the front tibia in crickets, mole crickets, and katydids. These organisms use vibrations to locate other individuals.

  • Paprika is a spice made from the grinding of dried sweet red bell peppers (Capsicum annuum). In many European countries the name paprika also refers to bell peppers themselves. The seasoning is used in many cuisines to add colour and flavour to dishes. The chili pepper is the fruit of the plants from the genus Capsicum, which are members of the nightshade family, Solanaceae. Even though chilis may be thought of as a vegetable, their culinary usage is generally as a spice, the part of the plant that is usually harvested is the fruit, and botany considers the plant a berry shrub. The name, which is spelled differently in many regions (chili, chile, or chilli), comes from Nahuatl via the Spanish word chile. Bell peppers are often named simply by their color (e.g. green or red pepper). Chili peppers and their various cultivars originate in the Americas; they are now grown around the world because they are widely used as spices or vegetables in cuisine, and as medicine.(wikipedia.org)

  • Until recently, scientists thought giant pandas spent most of their lives alone, with males and females meeting only during the breeding season. Recent studies paint a different picture, in which small groups of pandas share a large territory and sometimes meet outside the breeding season. Like most subtropical mammals, but unlike most bears, the giant panda does not hibernate.

  • An exclamation mark or exclamation point is a punctuation mark: ! It is usually used after an interjection or exclamation to indicate strong feelings or high volume, and generally marks the end of a sentence. A sentence ending in an exclamation mark is either an actual exclamation (“Wow!”, “Boo!”), a command (“Stop!”), or is intended to be astonishing in some way (“They were the footprints of a gigantic hound!”). In typesetting or printing the exclamation mark is called a screamer or bang. “Bang” is also common in computer programming slang. Less common names in publishing include “gasper” and “startler”. • Companion dog usually describes a dog that does not work, providing only companionship as a pet, rather than usefulness by doing specific tasks. Many of the toy dog breeds are used only for the pleasure of their company, not as workers. Any dog can be a companion dog, and many working types such as retrievers are enjoyed primarily for their friendly nature as a family pet, as are mixed breed dogs.

  • Rhino, is one of only five surviving species of odd-toed ungulates in the family Rhinocerotidae. Two of these species are native to Africa and three to southern Asia. The rhino is prized for its horn. The horns of a rhinoceros are made of keratin, the same type of protein that makes up hair and fingernails, but the horn is not itself made of hair as previously believed. Both African species and the Sumatran Rhinoceros have two horns, while the Indian and Javan Rhinoceros have a single horn. Most live to be about 60 years old or more. (wikipedia.org)

  • The Compact Cassette, often referred to as audio cassette, cassette tape, cassette, or simply tape, is a magnetic tape sound recording format. Although it was originally intended as a medium for dictation, improvements in fidelity led the Compact Cassette to supplant reel-to-reel tape recording in most non-professional applications. Its uses ranged from portable audio to home recording to data storage for early microcomputers. Between the early 1970s and late 1990s, the cassette was one of the two most common formats for prerecorded music, first alongside the LP and later the Compact Disc. The word cassette is a French word meaning “little box. (wikipedia.org.)

  • Fishing is the activity of hunting for fish by hooking, trapping, or gathering. By extension, the term fishing is applied to pursuing other aquatic animals such as different types of shellfish, squid, octopus, turtles, frogs, and some edible marine invertebrates. The term fishing is not usually applied to pursuing aquatic mammals such as whales, where the term whaling is more appropriate, or to commercial fish farming. Fishing is an ancient and worldwide practice with various techniques and traditions and has been transformed by modern technological developments. In addition to providing food through harvesting fish, modern fishing is both a recreational and professional sport.

  • You know how it is. Sometimes you see some picture and you think “I definitely should draw this!!!” This happened with me and this pic. In the beginning I was thinking to paint it digitally. But I realized it looks pretty much like digital/ photoshoped/ like not alive already, which is ok cause Edward shouldn’t be alive anyway lol So I decided to draw it on paper instead. This was my pain in the ass seriously cause I run out of paper I used to use for drawing so I had to buy a new paper. The paper is soooo different! I couldn’t get darker/ kind a closer to the black color I wanted to, the paper just won’t take it. And in the end pencil started to smear everything around. All my hands and face were dirty after drawing lol I don’t want that to happen again. I will not draw anything till I get different paper. Anyway pencils I used was mechanical and normal H (little bit), HB, B and 2B
