I was viewing some properties in the Canary Islands and spotted this – I was immediately drawn to the shadows of course, but also to the way they changed over the various textures of the building. / I tinted this image blue as it seemed to suit it – but perhaps also to momentarily erase the memory of that gorgeous sunshine, as I sit here looking out the window onto a very grey and rain soaked English winter’s day!

These waves of blue were one of my many experiments with software manipulation. The contrasts pleased my eye. / I thought that the waves would make a good background for a farewell card espcially if the person was going overseas. Could easily be made available without text or with other text. bubblemail me. Makes me think of the song with the line (and song title) / Song Sung blue (Neil Diamond). / link: Without you, / I am blue. Thanks to the hosts of Art in Maths for featuring this piece. Yesterday the computer system at work crashed and while it was down, I drew a black and white abstract. My dear friend, Gloria Ferreira (a red bubbler too … her work can be seen at www.redbubble.com/people/dotgsf), scanned the image onto a CD so I could play with it digitally and this is what I came up with. I named it ADM for the code we all had to charge while the system was down. Thanks, Gloria!
