Still more lightning….I see a pattern here…
Ok, this is what my life is like. One of the best strikes of the night and the camera is out of focus!!!!! A little hint to all budding Lightning photographers… When your camera is set to manual focus, and youre shooting in total darkness… DO NOT use your shirt sleeve to wipe off rain droplets from the front of your lens!!!! / As careful as you are, a hudredth of a degree turn on the lens is enough to make that Cracking shot…..a pile of crap.
Awoke this morning to distant flashes… Had just enough time to throw on some clothes, and grab the camera. Didnt have time to drive anywhere though.
Roiling- / Verb. / v.intr. / To be in a state of turbulence or agitation. The sky over Perth Today (27-04-08) / Major middle level disturbance causing beautiful “Ripples” in the sky.

This shot was taken on a recent trip out to the country. This is where we are moving to. / Well not right here obviously!!
Caught this on my way to work the other day. One of the few times when I had my camera with me.
Shot exclusively for fellow redbubbler Michael Bermingham ….. Told you there were effing ducks there !!!! The Albino Duck species has been seen frequenting the Oatman, Arizona area: / Then later, spotted in Bristol TN, at a NASCAR race: / Some have been seen to beach themselves: / Even German tourists have been caught by surprise: / Even amish country has been invaded: /
This is a collaboration created by myself and the lovely / Kelly Bermingham on 23rd August 2008. I want to say a very ‘Special Thankyou’ to Kelly for sharing with me her ‘Fantasy’ photo. Thankyou Kelly for making this possible! :) I have enjoyed working with ya! :) This is the original

The last light of day fails in the west as a substantial storm front moves slowly across the ocean.
1.12.2008 (My sons Birthday) A very rare event happened this evening where the Moon, Jupiter and Venus were in close conjunction. / In order to bring out the detail in the “Dark Side” I had to blow out the “Light” side. / Still works though. / In the extremely Pixely zoomed in image below, you can clearly see Jupiters four Largest Moons, Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto /

One of the reasons I love Redbubble so much, is the inspiration that other artists give me. Some time ago my australian mate Michael Bermingham posted Old Yanchep Inn which to me is a timeless classic. Then Shelly Hiebert posted Sacred which is just a fantastic image. I always wanted to get a shot similar to both of those and digging through my archives back to 2007, I came across this image I took with my Nikon D50 in the Madison State Capitol building. A little HDR processing, converted to B&W, little noise reduction applied, some Dodge & Burn (which Kimberly Palmer first introduced me to) and this is what I came up with. Please also look at Michael’s and Shelly’s image, as well as Kimberly’s work.
