Had quite the fun with this series. / Shot along the seawall on the north side stanley park in Vancouver BC. / tools: dark clothes, dark area, loooong shutter, sparklers!

I thought the contrast was a little harsh on the original version of this work, so I’ve softened the colour by adjusting the balance, and I’ve also added photographic filters. This image was taken early this year while walking along Markeaton Canal. Hope you like the updated version! Thanks, Jen :-) Photography and editing by Jennifer Woodward © 2008

Composition study…5 p.m. “Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived.” /
Autumn leaves float on the still waters of Bench Lake as Mt. Rainier emerges from some morning clouds
This watercolour illustration is the front cover of an early reader book. I love this hippo, I needed to show only a hint of him so I made him so big that the he sort of bleeds off the page.

October 2009 / Featured in Live and Let Live October 2009 / Featured in Windmills, Watermills and Ferris Wheels October 2009 / Featured in Digital Photography October 2009 / This is a great promenade and is the posh end of the Fylde coast in Lancashire England, where most of the posh poeple live, very victorian and very well kept. / Shot this about a year or so ago when there was a big storm coming in, the sun was still shining but didn’t last long, saw this lovely bench and the windmill in the background, hope you like this shot, Some may remember this one. / Here’s a little historical info about lytham windmill in the background: Built on what is now Lytham Green in 1805, the Windmill is the landmark that everyone sees when they come to Lytham. One of several mills on the Fylde, Lytham Mill was worked until 1919 when a fire destroyed most of the machinery. Rebuilt and renovated several times since, the Mill now houses a permanent exhibition of the history of the Mill and of Bread-making; tableaux of Lytham life during the last 100 years, various memorabilia and models. Open to visitors, free admission. / Shot with a Nikon D70sand 18-70mm lens / Edited with Photomatix and Photoshop CS2

This image was photographed at the waterfront in the OLD TOWN of DUBROVNIK/CROATIA Judged by Tuck Leong at Melbourne Camera Club/open EDI/Highly Commended Death in Dubrovnik…............ well WHAT did happen to…..........BRITT LAPTHORNE this title has to do with the complexities of a missing girl…..... For those who live outside Australia you maybe interested to know that BRITT LAPTHORNE/ 21-year-old Melbourne woman went missing from a nightclub in the Croatian town of Dubrovnik on September 18. Her body was found many days later washed up near rocks not far from the city centre. Last year I was fortunate enough to visit this wonderful city of DUBROVNIK…...........I felt I had found paradise and had been told this was a most magical place to take photographs. And yes/ I had found paradise and started to wonder about the war here in ‘91 /Death in Dubrovnik…...and then I started to think about this beautiful young woman taken tragically away from her family. I walked the streets of the Old City and surrounds for nearly a week. The more I thought about her the more I wanted to find out about her and so sat in a local internet cafe and tried to read as much as possible about her. So this only made me think more about this young woman and how her family must have felt at the time .So then as I walked the streets every crack in the old walls /every crack in the pavement I photographed /I asked myself did she walk this way….........did she see the beauty I was seeing….... / This image was taken in Dubrovnok and is of the Fuego Latino Club where BRITT LAPTHORNE visited the night she died……..........well some locals say she did visit the club and some say she didn’t! These images were taken from a 4th fl. balcony overlooking the nightclub. I watched for about 15 minutes. It would be impossible for this young woman’s exit from the nightclub to go undetected by the camera. I wonder why Britt’s parents could not see their daughter exit the club when they watched the film footage from that night…...... / this image was taken at the small port in the OLD TOWN of Dubrovnik/this image is not meant to offend but something did happen to this young woman…...... .............sometimes we don’t know what we’re looking for….......this image was taken at a hotel on the outskirts of Dubrovnik. The puzzle and anguish of this mystery can be too much for a family to experience…......... I’m going to tell you what’s on my mind! / looking for answers
eirian-stock.deviantart.com / kittd-stock.deviantart.com Dedicated to Susan Boyle There was a time when men were kind, / And their voices were soft, / And their words inviting. / There was a time when love was blind, / And the world was a song, / And the song was exciting. / There was a time when it all went wrong… I dreamed a dream in time gone by, / When hope was high and life, worth living. / I dreamed that love would never die, / I dreamed that God would be forgiving. / Then I was young and unafraid, / And dreams were made and used and wasted. / There was no ransom to be paid, / No song unsung, no wine, untasted. But the tigers come at night, / With their voices soft as thunder, / As they tear your hope apart, / And they turn your dream to shame. He slept a summer by my side, / He filled my days with endless wonder… / He took my childhood in his stride, / But he was gone when autumn came! And still I dream he’ll come to me, / That we will live the years together, / But there are dreams that cannot be, / And there are storms we cannot weather! I had a dream my life would be / So different from this hell I’m living, / So different now from what it seemed… / Now life has killed the dream I dreamed…
