One of my first shots taken a DSLR, shot two years ago in Edinburgh, Scotland, during the G8 Summit – which explains the large amount of “Save The World!”-pins on his jacket! Some months later, I got a note from a fellow photographer on deviantART.com, linking me to a picture he shot himself – of the very same man. It’s a small world, isn’t it?

Two people quietly talking…
Mother Thames bursts her banks after months of heavy rainfall… what a beautiful spectacle she offers, the wonder and grace of nature. .. a formidable force indeed.. Her strength inspires me and her beauty leaves me breathless.

A couple that arrived together, silently enjoyed the view, then left. Taken in Peachland, BC, Canada.
I happened upon this lovely bench painted as the American flag while on Coronado Island near City Hall. The sun was setting. No one was around. Isabella’s voice giggling in the distance for me to hurry and catch up. It made me stop. And stand directly in front of it. Almost demanding respect. My heart beat faster. My throat lumped full. I felt sad and proud all at once. Instinct almost forced my hand to my heart. Instead it was my camera to my eye. A lonely park bench waiting for company in a cold winter day.
Snow was coming down hard. Five minutes later the sun was out. Taken at Onondaga Park, Syracuse, NY
Self – I was actually sitting on the floor in the original photo of just me…then I added in both the bench and the wall in Photoshop.
Seaside benches sit in the fog, waiting for the tourist season to arrive and to be temporary home to so many people, all with stories to tell.
