copyright Ruth Magnus, 1988. / This is a scan of a colour photocopy made of my original painting which was watercolour on paper. It has therefore been scanned twice and the colours varied slightly from the direct scan. I liked both of them, and decided to make them versions 1 and 2 of “Persia”.

This is a photo of my first belly dancing coin belt. / I now have many more but this remains a favourite as it was the first. / They are very empowering garments as they give expression to how you walk and the more exhuberantly you walk the more they express themselves and the more you feel like walking. Having over 50 coins jangling is a great way to encourage exercise. They also make you feel very feminine especially when you dance in a circle of lovely women. / Taken with my Sony Cybershot 4.1. Only cropped. / Thanks to the hosts of the 50 Things group for featuring this pic. Their kind attention to my work much appreciated. /
