In God’s own country… / India ...at Dhanolti…We’ve been holidaying, 14 of us of the Bellani clan crammed into two large SUVs, drove into the hills of Dhanolti, a tiny place, 28 kms beyond Mussoorie, May 24, 2009, as is…........................ then to back to the Mussoorie town, then on to Rishikesh and Haridwar and we reached home around 1.30 AM, Tuesday…. ...a morning landscape in our neighborhood… / Please click to view or comment on more morning works

The Ram Jhula Bridge on the river Ganges, Rishikesh , Uttarakhand, India, April 12, 2009…a travel photograph…as is ””Hṛṣīkeśa” is a name of Vishnu that means ‘lord of the senses’.1 Rishikesh is a holy city for Hindus located in the foothills of the Himalaya in northern India. The place gets its name after Lord Vishnu who appeared to ‘Raibhya Rishi’ [3], as a result of his tapasya (austerities), as Lord Rishikesh [4]. In Skanda Purana, this area is known as ‘Kubjamrak’ as Lord Vishnu appeared, under a mango tree [2]”.
