This is a photo I took while visiting the mansion at Werribee Park. I noticed many bees in a flower bed as we headed back to the car, and after a bit of persistence, managed to get this shot.

It’s late August and the bees are busily getting those last bits of pollen and nectar from the late bloomers.

This photo is a macro close up of a honey bee on a thistle flower collecting pollen. There are bright white and yellow stripes across the bees black body with the contrast of the bright purple flower and green background. We can see so much detail in the image including the eyes, legs and wings of this insect.

This is a macro close up image of a honey bee from above as it walks along the petal of a flow from which it has just been iside looking for pollen. We can see in high detail the bees wings, legs, fur, antena and wings and the mix of colours with the black and yellow stripes on the bee, the purpel frow leaf and the breen background to compose the image.
