This honey bee on my Ceanothus in my back garden was so weighed down by pollen – and yet there always seems to be room for a bit more!
This is a further interpretation of a previous painting- sometimes I love the theme so much I have to keep revisiting it to do it better. I love the way the rainbow bee- eater’s colours glow against the earthern backdrop- it tunnels deep in the ground to nest, and I love that contrast. Go to Deb’s website for more info on workshops, giclee prints, sculpture and news on this North Queensland Australian Artist.

Well I think so – don’t really know one bee from another apart from some are fluffier- and the Michaelmas Daisies were a buzz with bees of all varieties- so just took the two! figurative pastel by Maria Paterson, 1m x 70cm / pastel on colourfix paper FEATURED IN CONTEMPORARY PASTELS / FEATURED IN IMPRESSIONIST ART The circus as a subject has provided me opportunities to explore the human condition. By studying the gestures and theatre of the human performance, I have discovered many symbolic references. In this work “little bee” , the element of trust, striving to reach out, bravery, and the freedom to try, come to the surface, perhaps the changing face of families. The little bee may be carrying those seeds of change “ORIGINAL FOR SALE ” through Hang Up gallery Billinudgel / www-mariapaterson-com.jpg go to profile my website 2010 circus art calendar
