  • On our Honeymoon Scott and I toured a historical site called “Sherbrooke Village” in Sherbrooke, NS. It was a very interesting little town set back in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. There was a pharmacy with old medicine bottles, a print shop with an old printing press that is still in use, a general store with walls full of anything you can imagine, a working blacksmith, and so many other interesting places! One I found most interesting was the prison. On one side of the two story house, separated with nothing but the prison bars on each cell, was the prison and the other side lived the jailer and his family. When you walked into the building you looked left and there was the family room but directly on your right was a prison cell for men. There were two prison cells for men downstairs and two for women upstairs. The families bedrooms were upstairs across the way from the women’s cells. A woman’s cell is where this shot came from. I noticed the light from the window was reflected on the floor and lined up perfectly with the pee pot in the room. I really love this shot and I hope you do too!
