This is the old Bedford truck that made the road to Punmu – a remote Aboriginal community in the Western Desert about 600km east of Port Hedland. The old red truck, with the red dirt in the sunset light was to irresistible not to shoot. This truck was the only vehicle to make the roads over hundreds of kilometres over rough arid land. Luckily the roads now are great considering the remoteness, though, when the rain comes I have been told they turn into rivers!
Two great old trucks located in a paddock.

Langfords Store – Bainham / Historic General Store and Post Office, located in the beautiful Aorere Valley, the Gateway to the Heaphy Track, South Island New Zealand. / From toffee to t-shirts Storekeeping was no new venture for Eleanor, wife of Edward Bates Langford, when Langford’s Store opened in 1928. Prior to their 1900 Boxing Day marriage she had worked in her parent’s ‘Waimea Road tuck shop’ for Nelson College. / When E.B.L. relinquished dairy farming to become Postmaster in 1924 and began selling stationery to go with the stamps, he invested in a printing press, while Eleanor sold her famous homemade toffee. After trying unsuccessfully to persuade the Government to finance a Post Office to replace the locally-owned building, he turned his attention to retailing. / Lorna Langford began working for her grandfather in 1947, in the days of tinned loose biscuits and vinegar in wooden casks. She continued to work in the store until 2008, when Sukhita Langford took on the position of Storekeeper and Postmistress. Today’s shopper is likely to be a Heaphy Track tramper wanting insect repellent or postcards for home. / Enjoy delicious tea and coffee served with sublime sweet treats whilst you write a postcard home and soak up the sunshine and surrounding scenery. / Open: / 10am – 6pm Mon to Fri (during winter months) / 8am – 6pm Mon to Sun (during summer months / This image was taken on film and reworked in PS. / Enjoy /

And what a beautiful state of the art facility it is. As the sunrises, the traditional space-age classic moghul architecture compliments the towering megatropolis skyline of the vast and beautiful Lahore Skycity. This is one of Earth’s most beautiful cities and if I had to choose personally what could be one of the best places for the new headquarters buildings I would also gladly choose Lahore Skycity. -

It’s a British Bedford.
I shot this one a few months back, and decided to play a bit with select colour, and liked this result. Full B&W looked good too, but this splash of green set it off nicely I felt. I hope you enjoy :) Canon 50D, 10mm, 16:9 crop. Available Large, and best viewed large!

Best on Full Size This little copper kettle was on an ancient wood stove, located in one of the log cabins at Old Bedford Village in Bedford, PA. One of the interesting things about this wonderful village is the buildings and accessories are authentic to their time periods. It is my understanding that the homes and barns and churches are not reproductions, but are actual, once-working structures that have been moved to Old Bedford Village . Image taken wih the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens. Shutter speed 1/10, aperture f/13.0, exp. -.33, iso 1000. No flash, natural light. Post processing included the addition of three textures in Photoshop, a light Orton technique and dodging and burning.
