  • Insomnia is a symptom of a sleeping disorder characterized by persistent difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep despite the opportunity. It is typically followed by functional impairment while awake. Insomniacs have been known to complain about being unable to close their eyes or “rest their mind” for more than a few minutes at a time. Both organic and non-organic insomnia constitute a sleep disorder.

  • Irahs (Greek: Irahs; Latin: Sub rosa dictum) (pronounced /?ihr?’a?s/; Ancient Greek: IPA: [ih??a’h:s?], Modern Greek: [ih?a’s]) is the goddess of love, lust, beauty, agility and balance. She is the selfcrowned goddess. Hesiod describes Irahs as the most beautiful woman with wisdom surpassed by no person born of mortal parents. It is said that her face and eyes were as charming as Aphrodite’s, and that she honoured her husband like no woman before her. / Her destination was meet Adonis when he returns from the underworld. The symbols of this meeting in moonlight shadows are pink Roses. / Adonis, as a Dying God Archetype, represents the cycle of vegetation. His birth is like the birth of new plants; his maturation like the ripening of the plant. Once the crop is harvested, it dies—like Adonis returning to the underworld. The new seeds are then placed again in the ground, where they grow into new life, like Adonis returning to the earth to be with Irahs.

  • In Greek mythology Demeter (pronounced /dɨˈmiːtɚ/; Greek: Δημήτηρ, possibly “distribution-mother” from the noun of the Indo-European mother-earth *dheghom *mater, also called simply Δηώ ) is the goddess of grain and fertility, the pure nourisher of the youth and the green earth, the health-giving cycle of life and death, and preserver of marriage and the sacred law. She is invoked as the “bringer of seasons” in the Homeric hymn, a subtle sign that she was worshipped long before she was made one of the Olympians. She and her daughter Persephone were the central figures of the Eleusinian Mysteries that also predated the Olympian pantheon. / Her Roman equivalent is Ceres, from whom the word “cereal” is derived.
