  • It seems people want to see beaver shots so I found this pair out in nature. Mother and pup on a small island that they made. The beaver damb is just up stream from were I found them. There hut is about 30 ft down stream from this island. I was hoping to find one in the stream but was happy to find a female with its pup enjoying the Texas sun. All proceeds of this work is going towards a fund to protect this watershed.

  • Sales of this goes to protect this watershed. Mother and pup sunning themselves in the Texas sun. The wet land is created from storm runoff and near by lake Lewisville.

  • In this area you may visit 6 beaver dams. But you have to be very quiet and patient to see one. Beavers have an incredibly sensitive perception of any movement near their den. The slightest vibration and they sit in hiding, laughing at you…

  • Beavers are semi-aquatic rodents native to North America and Europe. They are the only living members of the family Castoridae, which contains a single genus, Castor. Genetic research has shown the European and North American beaver populations to be distinct species and that hybridization is unlikely.

  • I caught this beaver having a snack one afternoon at Norgin Lake.

  • This beaver was more concerned with eating than with me and the camera. It has a cople young kits in the hut that I have had the pleasure of hearing but they have yet to show up for their photo shoot.LOL Photo taken in beautiful Sullivan County, PA, at Norgin Lake in Laporte Township near the town of Laporte.

  • I imagine they think we look pretty funny with that gear too.

  • Taken from the boardwalk passing through the “Mer Bleue” Conservation area near Ottawa, Canada. It is one of many nationally protected peat bog areas and is the habitat for many water fowl , beavers, muskrat and a plethora of plant species usually found in northern tundra. “Mer Bleue” ( french for “blue sea” or lake ) is so-called because of the blue mistiness that envelopes it at dawn and dusk. This panorama was taken in Infrared (IR) using a Canon G2 on a tripod, with exposure set at ISO 100, 4 sec @ f7.1 and using 3 frames at 35mm focal length. Taken on a September afternoon on a particularly clear day.

  • Whenever I visit this section of the lake I always see this beaver and at least one other hard at work, bringing in supplies for the long winter ahead. Photographed September 2009, Watson Lake, Yukon.

  • Another one of my Photos for my final term assignment for my digital photography course. / I have mixed feelings about the post production / i did for this one. it was hard getting the right exposure that i wanted. just wish my built in flash didn’t break, because then i would’ve been able / to use my external flash manually to illuminate those plants on the foreground. oh well. i’m thinking about going back there, with a mirror and an extra flash body so i can expose the plants properly without having too much of a blown out sky. didn’t help / that i didn’t have a polarizer at that time either. my hoya’s filter rim where the threads are, is dented, so i can’t mount the holder for the neutral density filter… which meant i had to make do with the uv. oh well. hope i sell another print so i can have money to get a new one :D Location : Beaver Lake, Stanley Park Vancouver BC Canada
